On a dark and rainy night in November, as the lights on the haunted Routmaster flickered ominously and the wind whistled round the upper deck, we explored some of York's most haunted places... Great fun!

I knew I was going to be in for a good time, but that was truly an understatement. Phil and Bob gave me the most incredible experience. I learnt, laughed and screamed for the whole 1 hour journey. It was nice to mix it up with a small walking portion (regardless of the rain that soaked us). The price is definitely worth it!!! If you are travelling along or in groups or odd number do be aware that you might sit next to a stranger, luckily I met some lovely people and we had a laugh! I would say around 50 people were on the bus which seemed like the perfect amount! It is definitely a must-do in York !!!

The experience was very enjoyable. The host was excellent. And it was a good tour of the city. There is a slight walk involved at one point, but this was not far.

Halloween tour to remember! Great guide (Isaac I think he was called) scary Bob driving and a fun added bit where we got to walk on the shambles! Part of my little brother's 18th birthday trip and he loved it!

My original tour on Halloween did get unfortunately get cancelled due to some issues with the bus, but the conductor, Frank, still made sure to put on a really enjoyable walking tour of the city centre that evening. Staff were beyond helpful with rescheduling my tour for the next day. The actual bus tour was also great fun, can't recommend enough!

Looks so forward to this as went on Halloween evening. Bus is fogged up, they need to clean windows or put cloths on to use. Driver didn’t dress up. Had a mask on for 2 seconds while we got off at shambles and said it’s too hot wearing a mask (drive a normal bus then) this ruined it. The conductor sounded like he didn’t want to be there throughout the tour. Wouldn’t recommend was disappointed.

It was a fun, tongue and cheek, informative bus ride. The look and atmosphere was spooky. Ride into town, hop off, go for a little walk to the shortest street. Hop back on for more spooks. Great week to go near Halloween. Host's were friendly and good fun.
