The pick up point was trickier to find as area being covered in roadworks!! Worth the money, a really good experience. Took just over an hour. Tickets have to be booked in advance, limited numbers by size of bus, and seats are first come first served. The guide, Frank, had a very macabre way of speaking and was prone to suddenly shouting. There were a few pranks and these added to the experience. The bus was very atmospheric. There was a stop midway to get off for a short talk at one site (we didn’t). There were stories about people and events but these were often just the facts rather than ghost stories. I would have liked more of the ghost stories. Overall, very enjoyable and would do it again, maybe in the dark. Would recommend.

So much fun and very entertaining. Probably would have been better in the dark but too light at 7.30 in May to be properly scary. Still.. well worth it. A great way to spend our first evening in a York.

We had Phil and Bob taking us round the spooky sights of York Even if the paranormal isn’t your thing, this will be. The bus is an old Routemaster from London and the cost of the trip was worth it to ride an old london bus. The trip is about 75 minutes ish and you are picked up at York rail station at one of the bus stops. All clearly signed. I would recommend a night time trip. Much more spooky. The trip is also educational. Phil is really funny and he stays in character all the time. He’s a really good actor/host and Bob drives the bus. You get off the bus for a while and walk a short distance to a couple of places in the city centre. There were a couple of children on the trip who seemed to enjoy themselves but there was one young girl who was having issues. There are lots of flashing lights, loud music and shouting/clapping with audience participation. Please bear that in mind. You are dropped off at the same bus stop when the tour is finished. This is a fun tour that would appeal to most people. And please don’t forget to tip your driver and tour guide even if it’s just a couple of pounds. Every little helps and they most certainly earn it.

We really enjoyed this Ghost bus tour! Lots of fabulous stories and many laughs. We had an 18 and 12 year old with us and they both thoroughly enjoyed the experience too. Greatly organised and put together. Such fun for our time in York. A truly 'horrible' experience.

We had a really brilliant time this evening on the Ghost Bus. Phil Graves was our conductor and balanced hillarity with interesting information. Our grandsons really enjoyed it and our 3 year old even got a round of applause. Great family entertainment.

Absolutely brilliant, such a fun and spooky tour, the banter between the conductor/compare and the bus driver was great. Lots of spooky and some gruesome facts. Seats on the bus are the old bus style built for shorter people, not so great if you are tall.

Worst experience of my life, painful from start to finish- it would be more fun repeatedly punching myself in the face. Not funny, not scary and just an odd experience with lots of uncomfortable puzzled passengers.
