Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII

Carl was a 4th generation local. He was super informative and we also felt very safe around the monkeys with him due to how knowledgeable he was. Great sense of humor too!

Carl was excellent! Very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history. He was patient with the questions and when we took a couple of minutes longer than planned at two of the stops. He also knows the monkeys very well and the young ones actually come to him. This was great because other guides did not do this for their tours. We appreciated his advice on restaurants after the tour. Great tour and guide!

This tour was phenomenal! It covered everything we wanted to see as well as provided us with historical perspective. Adrian was an incredible guide and had a way with the Barbary macaques. He was one of our best guides during our trips and knew exactly what we would like by understanding our multi-generational group. If you book this tour, I hope you have Adrian! You will learn so much about this beautiful country.
