Our guide for this small group tour was Anzo. I had read reviews of him prior to going with him; and all the accolades were well deserved. Anzo was most informative and did an excellent job of discussing the history of the Netherlands. He was very kind and went above and beyond by driving us back to our hotel after the tour. I felt the city was like Helen, Georgia in the sense that the city was built around a Mennonite community in 1958. There was a history in the area; and they turned it into a place suitable for families with canal tours and many outdoor cafes.

We booked this experience as one of our Amsterdam days. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and it was well organized and the vehicle was very comfortable. We ended up with three of us, seven in total. If I was redoing my trip, I'm not certain I would do this day. It was everything advertised and we enjoyed it. It was a bit more touristy than we envisioned. The first half hour on the water was delightful, but then the crowds came. And these were tourists, hen parties...folks that should not have been maneuvering boats. So it was a bit more congested and busy than I had realized. We were there on a Saturday, which may have also contributed to this. While in Giethoorn, we did have enough time to go to Restaurant 141, which we enjoyed very much. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food and staff were great. We did get to wander a little bit to check out some of the shops. I do wish we had a bit more time to wander further, although I'm not sure how much there was to see. It is very easy to find the van and when we returned we popped into the Central Library and their rooftop, as it's right next door.

A well-done tour. Enough time for sailing the canals and for lunch. Good weather really helps make this tour a winner. Rain would make it quite miserable. The tour-guide was experienced and conscientious, and he went the extra mile. The trip from Amsterdam is a bit long (1.5 hours) but doable. Tour materials need to advertise the accurate amount of time it takes. Material I received said 10:30-4:30, but we did not get back to Amsterdam until 6:30pm.

Wonderful tour! Enjoyed this beautiful quaint, peaceful village via boat in the canals of Giethoorn - Anzi got us there early to avoid the crowds and the boat traffic. Navigated us through beautifully! Gave us time to eat lunch for an hour and explore the village for another two hours. Saw numerous tulip fields on our way - an extra bonus. Excellent tour!
