My 11 year old grandson said he was going to write a little book about everything he saw and learned, even the 14 year old granddaughter who looked bored as she only wanted to go to the beach, started taking her own photos of the stone work around the Cathedral.

The Girona and Costa Brave tour is a small group tour of up to 8 people. Pick up is in a comfortable van from accommodation. The tour took us to Girona, with its fascinating history and ties to Game of Thrones; Monells - a beautiful, non commercial, unchanged medieval town with little or no other tourists; a lunch stop at a restaurant in Sant Feliu de Boada and then we finished off with a beautiful cliff top walk along the coast of Calella de Palafrugell on the Costa Brava, with a swimming option that we happily took up. Our guide, Chema, was passionate, knowledgeable and good fun - he really made an effort to engage with everyone and he definitely helped make the day all the more enjoyable.

Simon ( Marcel) was a fantastic guide. He was so full of knowledge of the history of Spain and particular the area of Barcelona. We had a great walking tour. and a wonderful time at the beach. Don’t miss the beach. It is beautiful and a great opportunity to put your feet in the water of a Mediterranean Sea. I would recommend bringing a towel and a swimsuit so that you could spend some time in the water. Everything about the tour was fantastic except that the van was a bit small given that we were eight adults. It would’ve been nice to not have three people in the front seat with the middle seat being more like a child seat. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about the countryside surrounding Barcelona and have an opportunity to spend some time at a beach.

Everything was well organized from hotel pick-up to hotel drop-off. Our guide, Vincent, was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable, always able to answer our questions. Our chauffeur, Joachim, was driving very well. The restaurant food/location was great. Our car was comfortable. What else can I say? This day and Vincent will remain in our memories as a very special memory in Barcelona. Well done.
