Hello, please be advised this is a fake tour operator, he took 300 USD from us and then never showed up to do the work. We are at the police station now reporting him and his business.

I had a great time visiting Gisenyi and learning more about the dailyb life of the local people and their culture .Honario has a great understanding of the history of this place, he has made me learn many things in a short time... I am thinking of going back to Gisenyi with my friends.

I had an amazing time getting to see the city, its people and culture. Honorio, my tour guard, has a wealth of knowledge about the area. He made me feel welcome and did everything possible to make my experience a pleasant one. The city is about four hours away from Kigali. To better enjoy the experience, it will be wise to do an overnight in one of the many hotels in the city. The view leaving Kigali to go to Gisenyi is one of the best in my years of travel. However, if you are afraid of heights, brace yourself, lol.

I spent a wonderful day with Honorio, who took me on a long walk along the small villages in the beautiful hills around Gisenyi. He gave me insight in the daily life of the local people, and his own childhood. We ended with a delightful local lunch. If I ever return to the area I will definitely do Honorio’s Nile trail hike!
