We had a wonderful trip. Lorna, our guide and driver, has a gift for storytelling. Her positivity and attention to our needs made the trip enjoyable--even with a couple alterations in itinerary due to issues beyond her control (e.g. a traffic accident). If you want to see the Isle of Skye and the way to and from the Isle, this is the way to do it.

This was incredible. Our driver Neil was fantastic. So knowledgeable. He was funny and had great history and knowledge. He took us on extra experiences as well. Loved every thing about this tour. Was so worth every penny. Would do it again and recommend to anyone questioning. I always read reviews and go on what people say. 100 percent this was amazing

Andrew T was absolutely lovely. He was so knowledgable, and informative throughout the entire 3 day tour. Regardless of the wee bit of rain and cold, we made the best of it. The B&B that we stayed at was also sooooooo wonderful. I would recommended this tour to everyone and anyone.

The itinerary and pacing of the trip was great. Lots to see and Mary the tour guide did an excellent job of describing the areas we were visiting. Five stars to her. The accomodation booking was handled well, and we appreciated having information about making dinner reservations in Portree prior to traveling. Whether I would recommend this particular trip to a friend is a trickier question. The Timberbush Tour van that we traveled in was a 16 passenger Mercedes Transit, configured with four rows of 3 seats across and four seats across the back row. There is not sufficient room for four average adults in that back row, so we spent two of the three days (almost 20 hours riding time) crammed in like sardines in that space. My advice to Timberbush is to cap bookings at 15 bodies on vans configured in that fashion. The alternative is to have a quarter of your customers walk away from an otherwise pleasant experience with memories of an uncomfortable drive. My advice to potential customers is to directly contact the tour operator and confirm their booking policies before spending a significant amount of money on a tour like this. For example, we also traveled on a tour booked through Viator with another company (Rabbie's Tours) who used the same style Mercedes Transit van, but it was configured with only three seats across the back row, and there were no comments among the travelers about an uncomfortable journey. If you are going to spend multiple days and many hours traveling in this fashion it is worth some up front research to make your trip the best it can be.
