  • Will be canceled close to your trip if they do not have the quota of people

Be aware they will cancel if they do not have enough sales to warrant a trip although I was on a ship that held 3800 people that was in town. I was able to get their email 5 days before the trip, but was on a 12 day cruise and was lucky I had bought the internet package otherwise I would have not had any idea of the cancellation while abroad. Of course then it was too late on the ship to buy a sold out shore excursion to Stirling Castle, so my trip to Scotland did not include this wonderful feature and the cost of a Taxi, Bolt, Uber was cost prohibitive. I'm leaving two stars because they communicated and refunded.

Driver did not show up! Would never use Viator or Trip Advisor again! Local guy said it has happened before, so beware! Being stranded is not a good experience!

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!! Yes, you can visit Stirling Castle but after that, nothing in the description is true! No guide, nor A/C on the bus and no respect of the itinary! We had one day and it was totally ruined! And after that, silence radio from the tour and from Viator. Keep your money and book with someone else, they are awful.

-no tour guide, just the driver -meeting point was not labeled, causing a lot of confusion -driver was not aware of the itinerary -no AC on the bus in the summer heat -received about 10 emails in the past week regarding this trip

Staff were really good about communicating with me. Our day at port got rescheduled due to bad weather on a cruise and Staff rescheduled our trip. Booking both excursions and tickets to the castle was convenient. They reached out to us and were aware of port changes . I got several follow ups on the upcoming events. Great overall communication with staff.

Jim, our driver, was very knowledgeable of the area and Scotland's history. We enjoy visiting Stirling Castle and Loch Lemond. The shopping and recreational area at Loch Lemond was an added bonus. The drive through the countryside was beautiful. Being "off the beaten path" was very nice. The driver was very helpful with my mobility scooter.

  • Good tour, but needs some slight improvements

The tour overall was good, but needs some improvements. For starters, we were told mixed information on how we would find our guide. Some emails I got said that we had to take a shuttle to get to the meeting point, others said our guide would meet us outside the cruise terminal with a sign. All the correspondence I got was riddled with spelling mistakes and I wasn’t sure if I got scammed by booking this tour. We were supposed to start the tour at 8am, but the tour guide didn’t show up until 8:05am and didn’t come with a sign, just asked people if we were on his tour. Then we didn’t actually leave until 8:36am because 2 people were missing and the guide wanted to wait for them… even though they never showed up. I understand you don’t want to leave people behind, but at that point it was cutting into our time as we were there on time. Other than the rocky start, it was a good tour and we saw lots. The tour was a lot of driving which was fine, as we got to see the beautiful Stirling castle and Loch Lomond and had a nice lunch break in the small town of Callander. If you’re prone to motion sickness, take some Gravol before leaving Callander as the road to Loch Lomond is very rocky.
