We've been taking curious Catalina visitors on journeys of discovery into Lover's Cove Marine Preserve for nearly a century. While the vessels have evolved over the years, the unique experience of being drawn in to an undersea wonderland remains the same. Meet your captain at Float B on the Green Pleasure Pier that extends into Avalon Harbor, directly offshore from Catalina Avenue. Once aboard the MoonStone, you will be able to see the bottom of the sea! You’ll see a variety of colorful fish and other sea life as you cruise through what many consider to be one of the healthiest marine environments in the world.

No glass bottom boat due to cancelation

3.00Excursion was canceled a few hours before scheduled only to see people from our ship going at the time we were suppose that paid threw the ship...so we were bumped by the cruise ship excursions. Thankfully the lady at the pier took care of us and upgraded to another excursion that was 30 min later at no charge.

5.00Unfortunately our cruise ship could not tender at the island on the day of our tour so we could not go on our boat tour. We received a full, no hassle refund for our tour which we had booked independently of the ship. Great customer service.

3.00The boat was full of screaming children 5 years old and under. I couldn't hear anything the guide was saying. The boat barely went out from the dock, fed some fish so they would swarm around the bottom. We tried to keep a positive attitude and enjoy the view of the kelp beds, but I was underwhelmed.

5.00I was not expecting too much, but it was a wonderful experience. Not much variety in fish but it’s the fish that’s on the island. It was still so fun to see. We were also followed by seals which was super fun!
