What To Expect
After introductions, we'll walk to the start of the valley by crossing the Rver Coe gorge. There's a steep metal staircase down, a bridge over the river then a steep rocky ascent up the other side. A rope handrail is provided. We then walk through up the forested valley following the burn / river - Allt Coire Gabhail. The path is good for the majority of the route but it is rocky, muddy & steep in places. There's one large rock slab to ascend & descend and a river to cross via stepping stones. The final approach to the Lost Valley is narrow and strewn with huge boulders. We emerge to the open expanse of the Hidden Valley surrounded by towering mountains. A perfect lunch spot! We'll then walk back down the same way to the car park via the upper path with phenomenal views of Glen Coe. Your guide will contact you before the hike to confirm clothing & equipment and answer any questions. A mandatory online Medical & consent form is required.

5.00It is not for the faint of heart, however, Trev is amazing and goes at your pace. He helps you find the best route to keep your footing!!! It can be slippery and unsteady at times but the view at the top of the waterfall was worth every step!!! We didn’t make it into the valley by choice, but highly recommend this hike!!!

5.00Trev is a fantastic and experienced guide. He went out of his way to pick us up at a new hotel when we were having logistical issues. He knew exactly what he was doing when it came to the hike, providing alternative routes as well as history of the area. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to visit Scotland.

5.00As a solo traveler, I like to feel safe, and that’s exactly how I felt with Trev. He had a first aid kit with him in case anything happened during the hike, which is very reassuring when you’re traveling alone and are unfamiliar with the environment. I also really appreciated the knowledge he shared about our surroundings and about Scotland in general. It was a wonderful experience that I would definitely do again if I’m back in the area!

From start to finish, he was intelligent, professional, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the local area and hiking in general. His passion for Glencoe and the surrounding landscape really brought the experience to life. What stood out most was how safe and confident he made us feel throughout the hike. Trevor paid close attention to ud , adapted where needed, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the journey . His experience and calm manner gave us complete trust in him. Beyond being an excellent guide, Trevor was genuinely interested in getting to know us, which made the day feel personal rather than just another tour. We shared great conversations along the way, and finishing the hike with a cold beer together was the perfect end to a memorable day. If you are considering a guided hike in Glencoe, we could not recommend Trevor more highly. A true professional and an all-round great person. Five stars without hesitation.

5.00We spent the day with Trev and had so much fun! We started at the parking lot for the Three Sisters. He guided us on the Hidden Glen walk. There were beautiful water features and views all along the way. There were a couple of areas where I really appreciated his guidance on how to tackle the situation. We walked down into the glen and it was amazing. After the morning hike he led us to a wonderful little pub where we could grab lunch. Next we set off for the Pap of Glencoe. This hike was a bit more challenging but had fantastic views. Overall we really appreciated Trev’s knowledge of the area and guidance along the way. We spent the entire day with him and enjoyed good conversation, as well. Highly recommend for you to engage him for a hike.

5.00We had a an extended afternoon hike with Trev. It was a marvelous experience. He prepared us well with what to wear and what to bring. We asked to see waterfalls and he found several spots where we could actually dip in. Trev was a wonderful guide for us, providing not only history but fostering connection and care for humanity and nature. We are so grateful and looking forward to more with Trev in the future!
