Book this one! We did four different tours via various operators while in Azerbaijan and this is the only one I am recommending. We booked the private tour version, which was well worth the reasonable price, and I have only good things to say about our guide Ruslan. The mud volcanoes were super interesting, and the 4x4 experience in the Lada Niva was one I'm glad I had and probably won't get to have again! We were a little unsure about what was going on when we transferred to the Niva, but we felt confident we were in good hands with Ruslan, and we were right about that. The museum and historic park at Gobustan are very well-maintaned and interesting. It was amazing to see petroglyphs from tens of thousands of years ago! Again, kudos to Ruslan for being an outstanding guide!

We really enjoyed this tour to Gobustan, it included a lot of different stops which meant that the drive never felt too long. For the off-road part of the journey in to see the mud volcanoes we transferred to old taxis which was fun. Our guide Mahabat was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information about the area and the country, and was very ready and willing to answer all of our questions. The tour felt very fast at times and I could have spent longer in some places (the museum) but still thoroughly enjoyed.

This was a great experience for a half day tour. Mahabat was very knowledgeable and considerate to us all and individually as well. You get to see a lot for a short amount of time. I highly recommend booking this if you're around Baku for a few days.

This tour was a great experience which elevated our trip in Baku! Our guide, Musa, was very friendl and fun guy and knows very well the history and facts of the place. We enjoyed our half day (this is a very convenient set up as you have time to explore more sights in Baku or elsewhere), and i believe is a very compact and inclusive schedule which everyone should do while in Baku.

Half-day private tour to Gobustan with our guide, Myca, was an excellent use of our time and money. Guide was fluent in English and Russian, friendly, and knowledgeable. Van was comfortable, and the driver was professional and sane. 5 Stars.

We were picked up at 9am for a amazing half day tour of Gobustan with Mud Volcanoes and visiting the Worlds First Oil well and also Bibi-Heybat Mosque. All the attractions were really informative and worth visiting, and the day was made extra special by our driver, Elnur, who was always on time, reliable and very patient. We were given enough time at each attraction and never felt rushed. It was the perfect way to see some of the surrounding landscape around Baku, and the vehicle we were in was clean, tidy and air-conditioned. I would like to give a special mention to Esmira who expertly organised our tour over WhatsApp and was very informative, and made sure that we saw everything we wanted to see, and quickly responding to any questions we had. It was a great tour and I highly recommend if you visit Baku.
