Join us for a short small group tour to the famous Goðafoss Waterfall, one of the most popular tourist destination in North Iceland. On the way back to Akureyri we drive along the coast of Eyjafjordur, one of the longest fjords in Iceland where you can see over the fjord to Akureyri and take a great photo. From there, we stop at the Forest Lagoon, a geothermal spa resort located across from Akureyri. It includes infinity pools with swim-up bars, a sauna and a cold tub and offers great views across the Eyjafjordur fjord.

What To Expect
Godafoss
Goðafoss Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Nicknamed the Waterfall of the Gods due to its history. In the year 1000, Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland and proceeded with throwing his statues of gods into the waterfall. The water falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.

5.00We had the most amazing time visiting the Godafoss waterfall and being able to experience the Forest Lagoon & Spa. We were blessed to have Reynir (tour guide) take us to and from both Godafoss and the Forest Lagoon as he was very informative, friendly and patient which we both appreciated. Prior to going, he made contact via email to keep us in the loop which was great and gave us plenty of time to explore whilst letting us know plenty of information about the history and geography of the area. Should we ever return, we’d very much use Star Travel for our excursions!

5.00Incredible experience! We were the only people booked on, so it was like having a private tour! Our guide took us to all the best viewing spots for photos, gave us time to see things that we wanted to see and finishing the day in the Lagoon was perfect! Would recommend!

5.00Our guide Krista was incredible! Smart, funny and informative. The waterfall was amazing and the forest lagoon was most relaxing. I would recommend the forest lagoon over the blue lagoon near Reykjavik for sure. Much less crowded much less expensive.

3.00The experience was not as described. The waterfall allowed 40 minutes Vaolaheioi Utsynispallur did not happen… We were dropped at the forest lagoon (but not picked back up). The falls were beautiful, and the lagoon was great… tour was just not as described.
