Our Licensed native English speaking will meet you at 10.00 AM in the lobby of Your accommodation in Taormina, Giardini Naxos or Letojanni. After 20 minutes driving with 8 seats air-conditioned minivan you will reach Forza D’Agrò, a real and authentic small Sicilian village. Take a Walking tour of the old town and visit the places where The Godfather movie was played. After a Walking tour of the village with explanation of Sicilian authentic culture and way of leaving You will drive towards Savoca, the second Sicilian small village where the movie was played. The famous Bar Vitelli where Michael Corleone met the father of his future wife Apollonia. Then walk 5 minutes to reach Saint Lucy Church where they got married. While taking the walking tour Your Guide will introduce you the real history of Sicilian Mafia, how it grows up and spread very fast all around Italy. You will listen about the real structure (cupola), about its Boss and about the Mafia clan wars to control the territory. You will discover how 2 Sicilian Officers (Falcone and Borsellino) thanks also to some “Mafia repented men”, were very near to discover the truth about Mafia and its collusion with Italian politicians. You will know how it really ended up with them. After the Walking tour you will stop in a nice elegant food venue. Here you will be served a typical Home-Made Sicilian Plate of Pasta and a Glass of red wine while enjoying authentic panoramic views of town. 5.00The tour was great. It was a group of eight and we were conveniently picked up at our hotels. Our tour person provided a lot of background on the origins of the Mafia and the filming of the Godfather movie and the big impact it had in the small towns when Coppola chose to film here. We visited many picturesque sites with many opportunities to take photos. The stop for lunch was also nice. We had a traditional ight pasta lunch, a glass of wine and cannoli for desert. It was a wonderful experience and our guide was very accommodating to everyone’s needs. There was anither quick stop to a cafe with film memorabilia and delicious cannolis and drinks for purchase and an opportunity to buy beautiful Sicilian souvenirs of all types. The drive was also very beautiful along the winding Cliffside and coast.

5.00This was up there as the best excursion we’ve ever went. The guide Giovanni was excellent. His knowledge and passion for the subject was outstanding. We saw all the places we remember from the movies and Gio had backup footage for those who had forgotten. The transport was spot on and the meal we went for after it was outstanding. If I wasn’t leaving Sicily today I would have went back and done it again!! We could have listened to him for hours. Superb guide and a great sense of humour as well, he kept us all going and nothing was a bother. Thank you Giovanni for making our trip as great as it was, outstanding mate 😉👌🏻
