There are tour guides, and then there is Vjeran. My wife and I did the Golden Circle and Kerid Minibus Tour in April 2026, and from the moment our group assembled, it was clear we were in the hands of someone who doesn’t just do this job, he owns it completely. From Thingvellir to Geysir to Gullfoss to the surreal crater lake at Kerid, Vjeran wove together geology, Icelandic history, and genuine storytelling in a way that made every single stop feel alive. He knew exactly when to slow down and let the landscape speak, and exactly when to crack a joke that had the whole minibus laughing. That balance is rare and completely unforced with him. What truly set him apart was how seen he made everyone feel. He remembered names, checked in with couples individually, and turned what could have been a standard bus tour into something that felt personal. No one felt rushed, no one felt like a number on a headcount. Vjeran is the kind of guide you talk about at dinner, then again on the flight home, then again when someone asks you about Iceland six months later. If you’re booking this tour, you’re already in good hands, but if Vjeran is your guide, you’re getting something truly special.

This was one of the best days I have had in my life. From start to finish everything was amazing. Our tour guide Gudmundur is what made it even better. He was fun and funny, his stories and history whilst travelling about Iceland was just great. If I could singlarily book him when I come back I would.

Breathtaking day with Addi—the best guide in Iceland! We booked the Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle tour via GetYourGuide, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. Starting the morning at the Blue Lagoon was a brilliant way to begin; it was so peaceful and set a great tone for the day. While the sights of the Golden Circle were obviously breathtaking, what truly made the trip special was our driver, Addi. Addi was incredibly helpful and an absolute wealth of knowledge. He provided fascinating insights into Iceland’s geography and history, but we were especially impressed by his grasp of historical politics. Learning about how the country was governed through the centuries while standing in the locations where it actually happened made the experience so much more immersive. If you are looking for a trip that is as educational as it is beautiful, I highly recommend booking this. Ask for Addi if you can!

It was a very good experience. We were very happy with how everything went. The driver-guide helped us since we don't speak English. We definitely recommend it.

First, having Ottar as our tour guide and driver set the tone for our fantastic tour of the Golden Circle. Ottar was so personable and hospitable. He is a true native of Iceland so hearing stories of him growing up in the area was heartfelt. My friend and I felt safe and well taken care of during this group tour. He also shared that when he is not working on the tour, he is taking care of his family and also part of a band. He gave us the opportunity to listen to a variety of Icelandic music during the 13 hour tour and bus ride. We stopped at all the major stops and a few bonus stops that Ottar showed us like visiting and feeding the Nordic Horses before lunch. The Blue Lagoon was definitely a highlight and so relaxing at the end of the day. If I hadn’t shared already, Ottar was really kind and listened to the group. He asked if any of us needed to be back a certain time for the Northern Lights tour at night and he prioritized our drop offs first. He even called a colleague to ensure the tour was still set to go with the weather changes we endured all day. Overall, booking the tour was very easy online with clear directions on pick up. The tour was jam packed with adventure, history, and fun. With all the stops, bonus stops, Icelandic Music, and care received, I think the tour was worth every penny. I would recommend this tour and Ottar as your tour guide!
