What To Expect
Thingvellir National Park
One of Iceland's most famous places. This is where the Vikings assembled every summer to discuss the law, make convictions and of course practice politics of their time (something that really hasn't changed much in 1.000 years) The National Park is also a unique place in terms of geology for this is the place where you can clearly see how the Tectonic Plates are pulling apart in Iceland.
Site de Geysir
We visit the hot spring area in Haukadalur the home of Geysir - the geyser all geysers are named after. Though the old Geysir has been dormant for some time his little brother Strokkur is erupting beautifully every few minutes.

5.00I have been blessed to have traveled around the world in the past 60 years, but this was one of the best tours I ever experienced. The 5 of us enjoyed a wonderful day touring the golden circle, enjoying majestic stops with an informative and entertaining Dofri. He personalized the tour to our interests. Now I understand why he receives fantastic online reviews.

5.00Dofri was the most amazing host on our family's trip to the Golden Circle. We had 3 generations on the trip with both sets of grandparents, my wife and I, and our 5 and 3 year olds. Dofri was amazing with our kids telling us all about the Sagas and troll stories. We truly felt part of his family as he showed us his Country and talked about his unique life experience across Iceland. We stopped at all of the normal Golden Circle spots and were given the perfect amount of time to pace it for the whole family. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful farm restaurant that was mostly locals and played on the playground there.

5.00We had an amazing time with Dofri. He was super accommodating and even rearranged our agenda the night before when our daughter sprained her ankle. We saw beautiful landscapes and heard wonderful stories about the history of Iceland. First class all the way.

5.00I cannot recommend this excursion enough. Our guides Dofri and Dagur were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and enhanced our trip to a level I have never experienced before. It was genuinely the greatest vacation that I've ever been on, and they are a huge part of what made our experience so much fun. Hope to see you both again the next time I'm in Iceland!

5.00He was amazing, he made it super fun and also show us a lot of things. He stopped to buy the traditional fermented Shark for us to try, he got us local candy, and he was very good making jokes to keep us entertained while in the road.

5.00I was able to join a tour on very short notice after other plans fell through and I was a bit lost, and thanks to Dofri I ended up having a great day with some very cool people! I saw a lot of beautiful places and we also went to get local food and talked about all kinds of interesting things. Thank you very much and I hope to visit again some day!

5.00Our group thoroughly enjoyed our day with Reykjavik Erupts and our fantastic guide, Dofri! Dofri is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about all things Iceland. We enjoyed our comfortable van tour to the Golden Circle sights, and the local lunch spot food was delightful! While driving back to Reykjavik Dofri entertained us with Sagas of Viking and Icelandic lore! We are eager to return and revisit this unique and magical place. We highly recommend Reykjavik Erupts to all whom we speak to about our experiences in Iceland!
