The Golden Circle by the original Superjeep is a guided day tour taking you to three exceptional sights in Iceland: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. This day tour offers you a chance to see and experience some of Iceland’s nature, geology and history driving in a Main 4x4 Superjeep. This small group tour has a maximum 6 or 10 passengers per Superjeep.

What To Expect
After a morning pickup from your Reykjavik hotel at 8:30am, you’ll board your super jeep for an all-day adventure exploring Iceland’s exceptional sights. The Main 4X4 Super jeeps/vehicles are Land Rover Defenders. All modified with big 40 Inch wheels ready for the mighty challenge these tours offer every day, all year round! The jeeps are equipped with extra fold down step for easy accessibility, luxurious leather seats, air conditioning, WiFi, GPS, first-aid kit, trackwell and other sorts of security equipment. Behind the wheel on the tours are experienced driving guides that sure know how to run such big cars in the wilderness & highways of Iceland. Your first stop takes you to Thingvellir National Park where the Icelandic parliament was founded over 1000 years ago. At Thingvellir you will see how the earth is ever so slowly pulling apart along the North-America and Eurasian tectonic plates and you will be able to stand where the Viking settlers stood centuries ago. Next, you will visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur where you can see geysers, hot springs, steam vents and eerie blue algae. Strokkur is one of the largest and most powerful geysers and erupts almost every 5 minutes. The final stop of the Golden Circle takes you to Gullfoss waterfall, which many consider to be the queen of Icelandic waterfalls, as it is both high and mighty and stumbles dramatically in a deep gorge. After Gullfoss, you'll stop for lunch at Gullfoss Café which offers local flair and offers diverse options such as Icelandic meat soup, all in the midst of Gullfoss waterfall. Once lunch is complete, it’s time to try out our Super jeep vehicles off road: the ride will take you to the highlands, rough terrain and glacier area of Langjökull (Icelandic for "long glacier"), known to be the second largest ice cap in Iceland (953 km2). You will enjoy the landscape from your Super jeep while occasionally stopping to take in the incredible sights. After an off-road ride, you’ll visit Faxi, a small but beautiful waterfall before driving back to Reykjavik, returning to your hotel around 5:00pm.

A wonderful Honeymoon in Iceland

5.00Kriss' took us on the Golden Circle tour last week, alongside another couple (Nick and Ellie). He was polite, knowledgeable and generally went above and beyond to help make a trip both memorable and exceptional. Given the inclement weather at the Langjokull Glacier he pressed on as far as safety would allow, and helped us have a truly memorable day. Tomas Took us to see several spots of outstanding natural beauty in the Southern part of the island a few days later. He was friendly throughout and helped show us the black sand beaches at Reynisfjara, as well as Solheimajokull glacier. He was very helpful in assisting with photographs that me and my wife Jade will truly treasure. We would highly recommend Superjeep and their guides, who helped to make our trip to Iceland to be so very special and memorable.

4.00Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The only reason not to give 5 stars was that the vehicle was not quite as advertised—there was no WiFI available, and the window controls in the middle row were not operating, making it difficult to take pictures.
Snow, Geysir and waterfalls

5.00The weathercwas not playing as we headed up to the glacier for snowmobiling. It didn't play well when we were snowmobiling however, we are in nature's backyard and that demands respect, understanding and patience. Still amazing. The Geysir is something else, seeing the Tectonic Plate cracks was pretty cool, Gulfoss is nature doing her amazing thing without regard for anything - stunning. Amazing day

5.00I recently led a Slovak school group of 15 students and 3 teachers on an Icelandic adventure with Superjeep.is, and the entire operation was a well-oiled machine. We utilized them for a complete "block deal" package including: Airport Transfers (Arrival & Departure) Katla Ice Cave Golden Circle Tour (with Snowmobiling) Northern Lights Expedition Professional Planning: In late 2025, I reached out to four operators for quotes. Two never replied, and one failed to grasp our group’s specific needs. Simms was the outlier—he picked up our requirements immediately and provided timely, professional communication that made the booking process stress-free. Expert Execution: Our drivers, Kriss and Erik, were clearly seasoned "old-hands." Their experience and professionalism meant that every transfer and tour flowed perfectly, allowing the teachers to focus on the students while the experts handled the road. 5.00What an experience! Iceland is one of the most beautiful places on earth and the Superjeep team really brings it to life. Huge thanks to Pétur and Krissi who are exceptional guides for our day trips - two very different personalities, but two of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys you could hope to meet. You both really made our holiday into something truly special. Also huge thanks to the chap who took us out our first Northern Lights trip on Thursday - we feel really bad that I didn't have his name to mention here, but he was a also a lovely guy and like all the other guides, supremely knowledgeable. We had 3 experiences with Superjeep - south coast & Katla Ice Cave, Golden Circle tour with snowmobiling and Northern Lights excursions. All were exceptional. Our first night in Iceland we went on the Northern Lights excursion and saw nothing. However, with our package, Superjeep gave us a second excursion, free of charge, as we didn't see the aurora on the first night. We picked the night before we left Iceland to do the second excursion and we were treated to what can only be described as a bucket list experience with very strong aurora. Obviously, Superjeep can't control nature, but taking us out twice and finding a place that was close to Reykjavik and with minimal light pollution really increased our chances of experiencing the aurora. And what about the Superjeeps? These things are amazing, go anywhere vehicles. Across thick snow on the Langjökull glacier - no problem. Driving around the lava fields that take you to the Katla Ice Cave - easy for the Superjeeps. Oh and how could we not mention Helgi, our guide for the Katla Ice Caves. I don't use the word 'legend' lightly to describe anyone, but that's the word that immediately springs to mind when we think of Helgi! As you can probably tell, we can't speak highly enough of Superjeep. They have great guides, fantastic experiences and some very cool toys to drive you about in. 10/10

5.00Amazing experience. Our trip in January you should dress warm …. Eric our driving was full of knowledge and an excellent confident driver. The whole trip was amazing however the Glacier visit even though couldn’t go as far due to weather was spectacular. Eric is a huge asset to this company with his driver skills and knowledge. Just amazing !!! I hope to return and do it again 😁😁😁

5.00Thomas was a great tour guide and navigated the snowy/icy landscape like the pro he is. We were even able to sneak another waterfall into the tour, which ca was my favorite! As you are in the back of a jeep and on rough terrain at times, I recommend taking motion sickness pills if you are sensitive. My partner was totally fine but I was nauseous on the way back down the glacier. No worries though, Thomas was accommodating and we were able to take a break. To me, this is the benefit of taking a smaller group tour/private tour. Highly recommend this!

5.00We enjoyed one of the most special days of our life, starting at dawn and going through to sunset, from seeing beautiful waterfalls, an epic glacier, geyser to the tectonic plates of the national park ..... and ALL IN ONE GLORIOUS DAY 👀 I will do it all again with the same people next time I am lucky enough to be in Iceland
