Martin was an incredible guide and made for a wonderful day. Experience exceeded our expectations. We only had 2 days in Iceland and this was the perfect way to spend one of those days!

Our Golden Circle tour with EastWest Tours was one of the highlights of our Iceland trip. The sights were incredible. What really made the experience special was our guide, “Simon Spicy Viking.” Simon was knowledgeable and entertaining and shared fascinating stories, history, and local insights throughout the day. His humor and energy kept everyone engaged, and he made the tour both fun and informative. The tour was well organized, comfortable, and unforgettable. If you're visiting Reykjavík, I highly recommend EastWest Tours—and if you get Simon as your guide, you're in for a fantastic experience!

We took a smaller tour hoping for a more interactive experience and more comfort. Instead we were squeezed into a ercedes van with 16 other people. The seats were skinny and cramped. And we didn't see anything or do anything that the big, roomier and cheaper tour busses offered. We did see the highpoints of the Golden Circle. Getting to walk through the "rift" and seeing two gorgeous waterfalls was delightful. We had time to see the geyser erupt 4 times and enjoyed every stop but one. For some reason we were forced to detour for a "tour" of a tomato greenhouse. This was the longest stop and a complete waste of time. I am sure that the tour companies get paid to bring people to this ridiculous tourist trap. We were exhorted by our guide with this exciting, "special" way to grow tomatoes. The only thing special was that they use their natural hot water to heat rather than boilers. It was so frustrating to have 1.5 hours at this stop and then so little time at others so much more interesting and truly unique. For instance, there are tours of the power plant which the guide pointed out as we whizzed by. We were lucky to be on the power plant side of the van or we wouldn't have even seen it. This is a major advance and reason Iceland is leading green living but we saw tomatoes growing! Our guide spoke English with a very heavy accent which was exacerbated by the microphone. I don't expect the world to speak English but when one books an English tour you expect to be able to understand and ask questions of the guide. I would recommend taking the larger more economical busses with bigger seats. You will see the same things (and likely the tomatoes--it's a real racket.)

The EastWest Golden Circle tour was a fantastic experience and a perfect way to spend my day exploring Iceland’s stunning landscapes. Pickup in Reykjavik was between 8:30 and 9 am, and we returned at around 5:30 pm. An unexpected highlight was the tomato farm’s tomato, mozzarella, and basil tortilla, which is essentially the freshest pizza I've ever had, with the tomato sauce made on-site from tomatoes grown at the farm. Martin was an outstanding guide. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, punctual, and a very safe driver. His engaging commentary and positive energy made the tour both enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend this tour!

Well this was a truly wonderful way to end my visit to Iceland. It was a very long day but we got to see and experience so many places! Our guide Einar was not only a great driver but had such knowledge and love for his country. He would often share where we could hurry to squeeze in an extra waterfall if we felt we had enough energy which we all really appreciated. He shared many locals tips of where to eat and explore but what was even more incredible was his first hand knowledge of the island where I live in Canada! I will recommend him as well as this company to friends and will ask for him again when I return. My only complaint would be the cost of lunch at the beautiful tomato farm but it will be something I won’t forget (don’t bother with the tomato beer!🤣).

In 10 hours we saw so many different beautiful spots in Iceland. An Unbelievable waterfall; a 6,000 year old crater and in between a sumptuous lunch of tomato soup and ravioli . We even saw a glacier in the distance . Our guide , Martin, was excellent, both in levity and his extensive knowledge and passion for the tour locations . This tour is a must if you have to make choice and make sure you ask for Martin .
