Bus sat at multiple stops for over 5 minutes with no explanation and no reason took forever to get the stop we actually wanted to go too

I booked a hop-on hop-off tour based on the timetable published on the company’s website which was also sent to me after confirming the booking. It clearly showed that last departures ocurred between 18:00 and 21:00 depending on the route and stop. Relying on that information, I went to Stop 46 on the Red Route at around 16:00, only to be told that all regular tours had ended at 15:00 and only the Christmas Lights tours (which were not included in my 24h tickets) were running after that time. According to the timetable I was given upon booking, the last departure from Stop 46 should have been at 19:07. This is not a minor discrepancy. The staff on site told me the company is aware the timetables are wrong and continues to use them, which is knowingly misleading to customers. I have requested a refund and am deeply disappointed by this experience. If you plan to use this service, be aware that the advertised schedules may not reflect what is actually operating on the day. I will update this review once i hear back from the company on the matter of the refund.

This is the worst Hop on Hop off bus tour I’ve ever done. Could not find any Hop on Hop off bus signs at the train station, even though the train station is one of their published stops. We asked inside the train station and they didn’t know either. We finally walked to the front entry of Windsor Castle and asked inside a souvenir shop. Then, even though the bus is supposed to come every 30 minutes, we had to wait an hour. The audio system on the bus is horrible. The entire experience was a waste of time and money. Nothing really to see except the castle, which was right in front of us.

We did the golden tour yesterday, we started in Baker Street and ended in Paddington, have to say all the staff we met at every stop we hopped on and off were so helpful especially a gentleman at Buckingham Palace stop, also Joe and Adrian and Bea who spoke on the Thames River cruise, she was very funny and engaging, would highly recommend golden tours and we got a great black Friday deal too

Absolutely fantastic. Our tour guide, Joe, was SO knowledgeable and knew everything there was to know about the history of London! Between tour announcements, he came and sat with us providing us with lots of advice and tips about how we could make the most of our time in London. He was absolutely fantastic, friendly, knowledgable and would absolutely recommend and do this tour again!! The driver Alex was great too!

Picked up the Red route bus on Marleybone Road around 12.30 and got off near Waterloo. We were booked on the London Eye c3.30 which was fantastic. Getting dark and cold so headed to Westminster Bridge around 4.30 (stop 23) to get back to our start point. Waited 45 mins with others at the stop and no bus arrived! App info states last full run starts at 16.00 and buses go off at 19.00. Phoned the number to be told might be another 20-30 mins or move stop and get the blue line which was no good to us. Company obviously scale down their operation as the day goes on and app live tracking not working accurately! Eventually gave up and paid £14 for two tickets on the tube back to our hotel. Totally unimpressed with Golden Tours and will use a different Co next time as no shortage of their buses.

The tour was fantastic thanks to EMMA who was extremely helpful. Very pleasant and personable. Vast knowledge of the London area and the history of buildings and points of interest. Thank you Emma for making our time spent in London enjoyable and we left with a wealth of knowledge and history.
