Right from the start we were impressed with the quality of the staff and facilities on board. We were led through the story by a clear and interesting commentary, and the clever addition of video stories made the history and experience very humbling. Maggie, our guide on Sophia Island, was a true gem and a great storyteller. We loved her. The lunch was absolutely 5 star which included salmon, smoked trout, and various other salad and vegetable dishes, accompanied by an impressive selection of quality wine, as well as coffee, tea chai latte, soft drinks available throughout the cruise. We were seated on the covered upper deck, and the seating arrangement gave a panoramic view of the river. We could also go outside and enjoy the peace and serenity of the boat cruising through the water, almost feeling we could reach out and touch the passing landscape if we wanted. The Gordon River cruise is an absolute must if you are visiting Tasmania.

Well organised tour. Comfortable despite stormy weather, and allowed for good viewing of the environment. The walks were great, and the commentary was informative.

This trip is well worth the money. A wonderful relaxing time down the Gordon River and a very informative tour of Sarah Island.

Stunning, my grandkids got sick of hearing that word. My grandchildren loved standing up front with freshest air in the world blowing over them. They loved it, so did I. Thank you your staff were amazing also.

Entering the Gordon River brought back the memories when I protested in Hobart to Stop the Dam.. Many voted informally at the next State election by writing NO DAM across their ballotpaper....and we won to preserve that wonderful place.
