GoCar, The Cure for the Common Tour®, lets you experience the beauty of San Diego and visit places tour buses cannot go – all at your own pace!
The first GoCar San Diego harbor tour takes you on a multi-cultural tour of San Diego, starting in Little Italy, where you learn about the rise and fall of San Diego’s Italian population, your tour continues past the maritime history museum, the USS Midway, and into beautiful Seaport Village. You also get to travel past Horton Plaza which just begs be visited again after the tour ends. After Horton Plaza, you make your way into the heart of San Diego, with a quick loop around the Home of San Diego Padres, and into the Historic Gaslamp Quarter, which after its reinvention is MUCH more family friendly then it used to be. As you leave the Gaslamp Quarter you will enter Banker’s Hill with is unique shops, also borders the always beautiful Balboa Park.

Fun way to tour the city

5.00Super fun and a must do way to tour the city. It’s a great way to get familiar with the area. We got a little off track and it took us a little longer than we had planned, but the company was super nice when we got back and understanding. We took teenage kids and they had a blast.

5.00we had a fun and safe experience. The operators do a good job with informing you of what you need to look out for. The cars managewell out on street. It is quite bumpy though! We had a fun experience and an hour was more than enough. Be sure you complete your waivers in advance. It will ensure you start on time!!!

3.00Ok experience. It was very stressful driving so you didn’t get a chance to enjoy the tour. There are no spots to stop and look and enjoy. The roads are rough so it’s not a smooth experience. It was fun, but probably wouldn’t return. You can’t see the GPS screen with sunglasses which isn’t helpful considering 1/2 the time gps gave you ample notice about turns and other times , it literally told you while in the middle of intersection.

5.00My favorite part of this experience is that you get to explore San Diego’s historical areas while enjoying the drive. We kept catching tourists eyes and were even asked a couple of times to take pictures. My only advice for future travelers is stay on the route, we got lost but even then we enjoyed the experience! :) Great customer service as well! Cassandra was awesome and had the best attitude. I would highly recommend this place.

4.00This was a fun experience. The only thing I would recommend is making the volume a bit louder. We could not hear the navigation tour guide because the car was so loud. Also, it would be a good idea to install flags on the back, this way it would alert other vehicles of the go cars location.

1.00The two of us rented one of the Gocars and went on the hour tour. The woman who checked us in seemed in a rush and told us to hurry back before it got dark. We started our tour and everything seemed great until we noticed that our tour seemed to go on and on. It started to get dark and we started to get worried for our safety due to not having any headlights. At about 5:15 we called in because our tour map was still going. The guy said we took the wrong turn and followed the wrong color line. We never were told about any colors except just to follow the map. We told him we worried about our safety driving back due to not having lights. That is when the man mentioned to us that there were headlights. No one ever told us this nor was this ever mentioned in the training video!!!! When we got back, we explained exactly what we did and how we were late. He accused us of taking the wrong turn and acting as if we did this on purpose (although we had picture of the map and when we called in). He ignored the fact that we mentioned several times and had even called prior to arriving about our safety. He said that because we were late that we were going to get charged for the extra time. He saw that we were getting upset and said have a goodnight rushing us out. We asked who was the manager and he finally said he was. It wasn’t until then that he said he wouldn’t charge us for the extra time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this FACILITY. THE STAFF DO NOT care for your safety. The manager is rude and not professional at all. The managers name was Marlan or marlon. Beware!
