The staff were amazing, the boat was great and the food exceptional. Unfortunately the current was way too strong for husband and myself (60) to have a successful snorkel. We were instructed to swim straight out from the pontoon in the roped off areas so that we could get over the reef. We found it impossible and there were so many people getting in the water at once that people were forced into us and over the top of us. My husband got a cut to his face from someone landing on top of his mask. We had to be satisfied with the underwater observatory. For us it was a lot of money and time spent to not see anything. If you are not confident swimming in currents then I would probably not recommend his trip.

This company deleted my google review. It goes to show their dishonesty and lack of integrity. Their snorkeling trip is unsafe. Pls don’t sign up with this company. I’m a seasoned snorkeller and noticed the following: 1. Communication on where people should snorkel and return was extremely poor. 2. All the tourists were snorkelling in the wrong area. There was no communication of how strong the currents were which was actually unsuitable for regular tourists. I could see people were struggling 3. This company is all about making money with payment required for guided safari snorkel, leaving those who didn’t paid to their own devise. I’ve been to much better tours where guides were in charge of each small group and ensure people can hang on to the life saving float or ring if they struggle 4. it’s extremely stupid to horn at people and scream at them for snorkeling in the wrong area because they don’t know who you are horning and yelling at. This also causes people panic and anxiety. At the very least throw a ring at them so they can hang on to it and pull them in when the currents are so strong 5. You said your ropes were meant for people to hang on to but they ended up disrupting their snorkel gear and people didn’t know they had to go over it or under to get to the reefs . They ended up being more of an issue 6. All in all it made for a very unpleasant experience. I feel sorry for everyone. This is a total rip off 7. When I ask some of your staff questions they were disengaged. Only the women and couple of guys were helpful. Before we entered the water the instructions were so poor 8. The snorkeling area didn’t have much to look at

Myself and my mum had an absolutely amazing day going to the Great Barrier Reef pontoon. We were a little nervous as we aren’t great on boats but the staff made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed every minute of it. They let you know when it’s going to be a little rough! We were originally just going to snorkel ourselves but i ended up scuba diving (I have never done it before) and we went on the snorkel safari as well. I was very nervous about the scuba diving but all the staff were so helpful and made me feel comfortable and I enjoyed every second of it. Josh was a fab guide and made sure we were ok at all times. We went on the snorkel safari with Jordan and he pointed out lots of sea life to us and explained the history which made it so much better. Everyone was just so helpful and it made our experience even better. Shout outs to Jack, Jordan, Josh, Melissa and Sammy. Thank you for making our day amazing.

This is the worst trip I've ever had to experience. The weather was atrocious and expected it wouldn't go ahead, but, it did.200 people crammed onto the vessel and as soon as we set sail the BIG sell started.Skubadiving, expert, pesronal guided snorkelling ,Helicopter rides back (to save the horrendous journey in rough waters)The bottomless boat over the barrier with virtually nothing to see but bleached Coral.4 snorkelers swept along way from the pontoon had to be recovered by a speed boat as it was that windy they got swept away. The onboard Marine Biologist who made a big thing of a fish Called George who resides under the pontoon. When i asked her about the condition of the Reef as it looked virtually dead told me it was really healthy!! Food awful and the smell of vomit lingering where you ate.Couldnt wait for trip to finish but the return journey again was awful with people getting v sick. The stuff of nightmares and a TOTAL waste of money even though we didn't fall for the upscales.Do yourself a favour and give it a wide berth.

The tour itself is under average. I would give it a 3/10. Way too many people, food was crap, the ham was the best item served. Over visited site, corals were dead. Nothing much to see when snorkeling. I remember coming here 30 years ago, and it was just like a trip down memory lane, but I remember it being far more prettier. To get the most out of this trip, do the introductory scuba diving. $175. Great experience. You see a lot more and the people are very professional. Highly recommend.

Had a really great time on this - well organized and run tour from the tour operator. The floating reef was unique to this experience and additional activities to do if you didn't want to dive the whole time were a good bonus- especially if you are with elderly who can't swim as well. The only downside to this specific dive is that the current is quite strong (even for experienced and fit swimmers) which made it difficult to stay in the water for an extended period of time and enjoy the reef. Because of this there's a limited area to explore (to avoid getting swept out to sea).

Unfortunately weather was not on our side, however that can’t be helped, the trip itself was fine, but snorkelling near the reef was hard work, and if you could get anywhere near it you were quickly told to get back, maybe if the conditions were better, for me snorkeling off a beach is far more easier than a pontoon, the crew were all great and the food was fantastic. Take travel calm!!

Always wanted to do this and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing crude to the reef, great service from staff and the swim at the reef was amazing

Extremely overcrowded and focused on squeezing as much as possible from guests. Too many people were taken onto the pontoon, leading to constant queues from the moment of boarding. The crew was mainly indifferent.

An unforgettable day exploring the Great Barrier Reef. I was lucky enough to do two scuba diving immersions and felt safe and well looked after the entire time. Brian, an exceptionally talented diver, and his brother Brady were outstanding — professional, calm, and genuinely attentive. They took the time to explain everything clearly, offered constant reassurance, and made the experience both exciting and comfortable. Brian also took extra time at the end of the day to carefully document my diving experience for my diving diary, which I truly appreciated =). The reef itself was breathtaking, and the overall organisation of the tour was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a safe, high-quality, and memorable reef adventure!!!
