Great Otway National Park
Great Otway National Park is in southern Victoria, Australia. It covers rugged coastland, beaches and the mountains of the Otway Ranges. Waterfalls dot the park, including the 3 cascades of Triplet Falls. Boardwalks lead through temperate rainforest at Maits Rest. The 1848 Cape Otway Lightstation perches on cliffs overlooking Bass Strait. Great Ocean Walk leads through the park to the Twelve Apostles rock formations.
Great Ocean Road and Beyond
The Great Ocean Road is divided into three distinct sections, the Surf Coast, Otway Ranges and the Shipwreck Coast. We allow ample time to explore all three sections. We start the journey along the Great Ocean Road at Torquay (Surf Coast). This stretch of coast presents the first of countless photo opportunities, as we encounter stunning coastal views and lookouts and visit such places as the famous Bells Beach. Turn your gaze inland and see incredible native Australian wildlife including the Eastern Grey Kangaroos as they graze in the wild. Our journey continues as we travel the impressive and scenic cliff-hugging section of the Great Ocean Road. The itinerary includes visiting sites such as the ‘Memorial Arch’ and hear the intriguing story of this incredible road, before arriving in Lorne, the largest of the seaside townships with its abundance of shops, breath in that sea air as we stop for a stroll and photographs. From Lorne, we continue along this spectacular road, and the Wye river region where we stop for lunch at the Wye River Cafe which overlooks the sea. Once lunch is done we continue along this iconic road visiting many scenic spots including The Kennett River where you can spot koalas and many colourful native birds in the wild. Travel through Apollo Bay and into the Great Otway National Park (Otway Ranges). Here we offer a guided walk through a cool temperate rainforest gully to see the world’s tallest flowering plants, prehistoric trees and ferns and many other unique features. Our next stop on the itinerary is undoubtedly one of the most iconic vistas within Australia and truly representative of Australia’s natural beauty, the 12 Apostles. We arrive as the stacks are bathed in the afternoon sun making them perfect for photos. After hearing of the creation of the stacks and holding some of the limestone rock, explore the boardwalks or brave a helicopter flight along the coastline (at own expense). Visit ‘Loch Ard Gorge’, the site of the most famous 19th century Australian shipwreck. Accommodation for the first night is the small fishing village of Port Campbell, nestled in a beautiful natural port and has some wonderful cafés and restaurants for dinner (at own expense) and views. Accommodation: Southern Ocean Villas (or similar) Meals: Lunch
Great Ocean Road Memorial Archway
The Memorial Arch makes for a great first stop as we begin our journey as it marks the start of the Great Ocean Road. Our guests love to capture the start of their Great Ocean Road and Beyond adventure with a photo. The arch was built in 1939, to commemorate the returned Soldiers of World War 1 who famously built the Great Ocean Road. In 1983 the original arch had to be replaced when bush fires set it ablaze however the original sign still sits on the top of the arch, for all to see.
Great Otway National Park
Walk in a temporate rain forest - The Great Otway National Park stretches from Torquay through to Princetown and up through the Otways hinterland towards Colac. The park features rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, rock platforms and windswept heathland. In the north, the park features tall forests, ferny gullies, magnificent waterfalls and tranquil lakes.

A full itinerary covering all the main highlights of the Great Ocean Road plus lots of extras. Jens is a very knowledgeable tour-guide, the minibus was clean, modern and comfortable. There were a few early mornings to squeeze in all the sights and activities but you are compensated by great breakfasts. Although the distances are long there are so many different stops you never feel like you have been in the bus for long. Highly recommend.

What a great tour especial when you don't want to drive or camp. It was quite busy but to see so many beautiful sights and drive a fare way we needed to get up early. Good value. Jen was a very good guide. There was 3 of us and we had a great time. I went to see the great ocean road but saw a lot more coast, national parks, caves and lakes on this tour. Accommodation was good. Thank you, Wendy

Tour was good but be prepared for long days, especially if you are a an older person as we are.Early starts to the day.A couple of stops sight seeing were a bit "ordinary".Accommodation was good.Unfortunately we found our driver lacking in a touch of personality (our opinion only). Very disappointed when he dropped us off on the opposite side of the road to our hotel, and had to cross a busy road with no crossing nearby. Two tired elderly people with 2 large bags.!!

Such a great tour, encompassing so many of the incredible sights between Melbourne and Adelaide over four fun filled and busy days. Jens, the guide of our small group of 6, was terrific. He had lots of knowledge and a great sense of humour. Our group quickly gelled from a group of strangers to great friends. The breakfast, lunch and dinner spots were very well chosen for tasty food, beautiful location and local interest. The driving never felt too long because we stopped and visited many different places of beauty and historical interest and did lots of walks. A great local family company based in Adelaide truly deserving of your support. They can’t do enough to make sure you enjoy your experience.

This is an excellent tour. Our tour guide and driver Jens was wonderful, and with a group of 17 (not usually that big we were told) whenever we stopped we never felt rushed to see what we came to see. The accommodation was great, as was the food, cafe stops and other inclusions. The four days gave us a variety of places to see, including two visits to the Twelve Apostles. Forget those day trips out of Melbourne, this is the way to really see the Great Ocean Road, and beyond. This tour company is a family run business and were great people to deal with when booking and asking questions to them over the phone. I highly recommend this tour. Note: in some of the supplied photos there are scenes of people on the beach; we did not get down to the beach - not sure why; there was one part that was closed so maybe that was the section we missed seeing at beach level. Otherwise all the views were spectacular.

Jens is the man! We were skeptical about a group tour for 4 days, realizing you never know what you get from these kind of tours. Just do it! The attention to detail and deep research that is done for your stops is impeccable. The tour keeps you moving and would please the busiest of persons. You won’t believe what your eyes are seeing as you travel up the coast from Melbourne to Adelaide.

We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this leisurely yet entertaining journey from Melbourne to Adelaide that blended iconic sights along the Southern Ocean coast, charming towns with lovely pubs and cellar doors, and great opportunities to socialize with other passengers from around the globe. Our terrific guide, Craig, assured all were well cared for and added stops along the way to customize the tour to participant interests. A great experience touring yet another superb corner of this vast and wonderful land - absolutely not to be missed!
