Why follow the crowd when you can flip the script? Our award-winning reverse itinerary tour from Melbourne takes you on a wild and wonderful adventure along the Great Ocean Road – backwards! That means more sights, fewer people, and a whole lot more fun.
We kick things off by heading inland straight to the Twelve Apostles –jaw-dropping views and fresh morning light perfect for photos. From there, we explore the stunning Shipwreck Coast, hitting up Loch Ard Gorge, The Razorback, Gibson Steps, and of course, the iconic Apostles.
Then, we switch gears and head into nature with a peaceful rainforest walk through ancient, towering trees.
On the way back, we cruise the coast through charming towns like Apollo Bay and Lorne. And yes – we guarantee wild koala sightings, plus a good chance of spotting kangaroos bouncing through the bush.
So if you're after a laid-back, wildlife-packed, photo-worthy adventure that skips the stress and doubles the fun–this is the tour for you.

Great tour ! Loved the reverse itinerary because we avoided the lines. Definitely recommend bringing a water thermos and snacks. Sun hat with a strap is mandatory because it gets a little breezy on the coast. This was one of my favorite tours. It’s long, but we stopped twice for breakfast and lunch. Beautiful scenery. We additionally were able to see Koala and Kangaroos in their natural habitat.

Our first experience of an organised tour and we didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment our lovely tour guide, Marty picked us up we felt we were going to have a good day. Marty was so knowledgeable and interesting and kept us entertained throughout the day Although an early start it was worth it as we saw all the amazing sights without too many people. The minibus was comfortable and cool and we met some lovely people. It was just the best day! Marty, you were just great, thank you!

This was a fantastic tour! Our guide/driver was Glenn, and he was a fountain of knowledge about many things. The tour was 12 hours total (maybe 8 hours of driving, 4 hours of walking), and Glenn made the long-ish hours in the van pass quickly. He gave commentary and was also happy to answer questions. He also provided some “space” between the commentary by playing easy-listening music along the way. Glenn was also very intentional about explaining the itinerary, best toilet opportunities, excellent lunch restaurant recommendations, etc. For the walking, a decent pair of walking shoes is recommended - not flip-flops or high heels. Sneakers work extremely well. The group size (limited to 10) is good, and we enjoyed meeting some new, friendly people.
