We had an amazing experience on this tour! Marty was a knowledgeable, friendly, and hilarious guide - he added immeasurable value to our day. We saw some absolutely stunning sights, accompanied by interesting facts and history provided by Marty. We were well and truly ooh and ahh’d out by the end. Would 100% recommend this tour - rain or shine it is an incredible experience!

This was an incredible tour! The size is perfect--no waiting for tons of people to get on and off the bus--and getting picked up right at my hotel in CBD was a bonus. The tour guide (shout-out to Marty!) set a clear time for return from each stop, with frequent (mostly entertaining) threats of being left behind, which gave us enough time to see things but also keep moving so we saw a lot throughout the day. The scenery was simply STUNNING, we had lots of opportunities for photos, Marty found koalas and kangaroos in multiple places (and knew where all the bathroom stops were), took us to some great food stops, and honestly it felt like the best road trip ever that I didn't have to plan or drive. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!!!

it s a long trip (but we knew) and the stops are very Quick . Maxi 30 to 40 min and a lot of them only 15 min !! So you don’t have enough time to enjoy . THE driver (good driver) IS also the guide and your English level needs to be high to understand him . He speaks quickly and is joking a lot ( depending of sense of humour of each person !) and does not make any effort to adapt his rythm of speech (in this case the majority of the group were English speaking native) but not us. The best part of the trip was the 12 apostoles. The rest of it normal because not enough tine to enjoy . The option of reverse trip is a good one to avoid the crowd

I joined the Great Ocean Road Reverse Itinerary PREMIUM Tour (Max 12 Guests) on Sunday, 22 February 2026. While the itinerary itself is excellent and the scenery is absolutely stunning, my overall experience was mixed, and I felt several aspects did not fully match the “premium” expectation. Before the tour, I requested a convenient pickup location near the CBD as I was staying in Blackburn. This was initially agreed upon, but unfortunately, the pickup location was changed just a day before the tour. This last-minute change caused some inconvenience and required me to arrange additional transport at my own cost. During the tour, I found the experience to be quite rushed and not as relaxing as I had anticipated. There were frequent reminders to stay on schedule, which made the tour feel a bit pressured rather than enjoyable and comfortable. The transport itself could have been better, as the vehicle felt quite old and not very comfortable for a long journey. Our guide, Matty, was professional but somewhat average in terms of engagement. While he was polite, I felt he could have been more interactive and added more energy to the experience. The restaurant recommendation also did not meet my expectations. At the end of the tour, I was dropped off at the original pickup location rather than a more convenient CBD drop-off point. Given the premium nature of the tour, I expected a bit more flexibility and customer consideration in this regard. Additionally, at one point I had to request water twice before receiving it, which was a small but noticeable inconvenience. Overall, while the Great Ocean Road itself is a must-see and the route is well-planned, I feel the service, comfort, and attention to detail could be improved to better reflect a premium experience. I have had more relaxed and well-organized tour experiences elsewhere, such as in Scotland through TripAdvisor tours.

Great tour to see the Great Ocean Road. Glen our guide provided just the right amount of information and balanced that with quiet so we can enjoy the views (or nap). My only suggestion is to add 5-10 minutes each at the Gibson Steps and the 12 Apostles Visitor Center. The time at each felt very rushed, but at least as it’s a reverse tour was not super crowded!

This tour was great and well worth it. Our tour guide Chris did an outstanding job commentating along the way and was very knowledgeable and was funny as well. He did a great job managing time and even though we didn’t get to see the rainforest (closed because it was really wet) it was made up by our chances to see some kangaroos and koalas in the wild which we have been trying to do. It was a long day but packed full of things to do and see. Would definitely recommend
