Visiting Utah in winter usually means skiing in Park City for my family. This year, however, a hand injury thwarted our plan. A blessing in disguise, really, as we discovered Safari Utah! We had an amazing time taking in the sweeping views of The Great Salt Lake, spotting the majestic bisons (and there’re so many!) amongst other animals like deers, owls, porcupines and birds. Not only does Clayton have an expert eye in finding the hidden animals, he’s well-versed in ecology, geography and history. He clearly loves what he does and we’re happy we went on this tour!

This was a great four-hour, private excursion to Antelope Park. If your time is limited here in Salt Lake City or you just want a guided tour to get the layout of the island, this is the perfect tour.

The tour picked us up right on time at our requested location. The group is small so it made the trip a lot more intimate and personal. Our guide, Clayton, was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna , conservation, history and future of the Great Salt Lake and Antelope island. He was so easy to talk to and very friendly; it made our four hour tour fly by. The trip concluded with a nice hike up highest hill on Antelope Island where you could really see how the Great Salt Lake changed over time. We are so glad we decided to take this tour instead of driving ourselves around the state park.

This excursion was very fun!! We spent the morning driving around finding various birds, coyotes, and bison - lots of bison. Clayton is very knowledgeable about the islands animals and geology as well as Salt Lake City's history. He is an excellent guide and reads his group well to keep the tour engaging. Highly recommend going on the safari!!

Clayton knows Salt Lake City inside and out — from its geography and geology to the wildlife and plant life. We were really lucky to have him as our guide, and he made the trip truly meaningful.

What a great way to see the Great Salt Lake and wildlife! I didn't know anything about Antelope Island and booked this on a whim, and I'm really glad I did! The landscape, bison, and other animals were jaw dropping, and Clayton had an abundance of knowledge about ecology, hydrology, geology, etc. etc. but shared that in a way that was accessible and interesting and enhanced the experience. The pickup and drop-off at my hotel were a big help. I definitely recommend this and would do it again in a different season to see the Island and animals in different conditions.
