The Great Wall at Badaling
Great Wall is the very symbol of ancient Chinese engineering. The Badaling section is a prime, preserved example of this colossal structure. Since Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC - 476 BC) and Warring States Period (476 BC - 221 BC), Badaling became a very important military strategic place Many incomplete parts of the wall were proved to be built in the Warring States Period. Here you will have the opportunity to climb up either the North or South Face of the Wall.
Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling)
Ming Tombs, burial grounds to 13 of the 16 Ming emperors. Only three of the tombs are actually open for viewing. Changling, the earliest and largest of the tombs, dates from the year 1413. We will explore the largest of the excavated burial sites, the Changling Tomb, which is divided into three separate, impressive courtyards.

Had a really good tour with Michael Ren! It felt a private tour with only 2 people late season which was great. Special access making things run smoothly and overall an easy, enjoyable and educational experience.

I am over 60 years old and should get refund on the admission fees both for Great Wall and Ming tomb the guide took my passport to the ticket office and he got it but refused to refund to me I asked Micharl Shi the guide and he said it is their policy not ton refund and keep it as their company profit I found this is ridiculous as I was in Shanghai and going with similar tour when the guide knew that I am senior over 60 he got the refund of admission of rmb 40 or so The money is not a big issue yet the integrity is I hope your management can pay attention to this

Mary was an amazing tour guide — honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. She was so warm and easy to talk to, and you could tell she really loved what she was doing. She shared so many interesting stories and little local details that we’d never have discovered on our own. It felt less like a guided tour and more like spending the day with a friend who just happens to know everything about the place.

I had such a great day thanks to Mary— who is both a queen and a legend. I loved listening to her bounty of knowledge on China’s beautiful history which she delivered with both the elegance of a professor and the quip and wit of a longtime friend. Less than a minute into the tour we were all laughing and sharing stories, and by the end of the day we were like a little family. I couldn’t have had a better first day in Beijing thanks to Mary.

We had the most wonderful day with Mary, our guide to the Ming Tombs and the Badaling section of the Great Wall. From the moment she greeted us, she was warm, organised, and full of energy — the kind of person who instantly makes you feel at ease. Mary has that rare combination of deep knowledge and great humour. She brought centuries of history to life with stories that were both fascinating and funny — we found ourselves laughing one moment and in awe the next. She has a natural way of making even the smallest details memorable. What really stood out was how genuinely friendly and caring she was. Mary made sure everyone was comfortable, helped with photos, and shared thoughtful little tips along the way (from local snacks to the best spots for views). It felt less like a guided tour and more like spending the day exploring with a friend who truly loves her country and takes pride in sharing it. Highly recommend Mary if you want a day filled with history, laughter, and genuine connection. She turned our visit to the Great Wall into one of the highlights of our trip to China.

#Mary is a remarkable tour guide packed with knowledge of history and legendary stories relevant to our Great Wall and Ming Tombs trip. A one-stop-shop for everything you need if you are in a rush with no time to plan your Beijing trip. You will be able to access all privileges and save plenty of hassles where you normally need to register appointments to the managed sites. Going through #Mary's tour. She will be doing all that hard work for you in advance. Hassle-free and highly recommended. Oh yes, and don't forget to tip your driver and guide at the end of the day to reward their hard work.
