What To Expect
The Great Wall at Badaling
Great Wall is the very symbol of ancient Chinese engineering. The Badaling section is a prime, preserved example of this colossal structure. Since Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC - 476 BC) and Warring States Period (476 BC - 221 BC), Badaling became a very important military strategic place Many incomplete parts of the wall were proved to be built in the Warring States Period. Here you will have the opportunity to climb up either the North or South Face of the Wall.
Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling)
Ming Tombs, burial grounds to 13 of the 16 Ming emperors. Only three of the tombs are actually open for viewing. Changling, the earliest and largest of the tombs, dates from the year 1413. We will explore the largest of the excavated burial sites, the Changling Tomb, which is divided into three separate, impressive courtyards.

5.00Bruce took care of every detail, so we could enjoy every aspect of our experience. He took loads of photos of us on the Great Wall! He gave us all the history, in excellent detail. The experience at the Ming Tombs was WONDERFUL. He mixed in the right amount of info, while letting us also explore the exhibit and the beautiful grounds in our own.

5.00Great day out with Bruce, our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Communication before the trip was great, making sure they found my obscure hotel in the hutongs Bruce was very knowledgeable, and made sure that we understood the context and history of the sites we were visiting. We went to Badaling on a snowy day so we took the cable car , but it looked a stunning walk The highlight was the Ming tombs, much much quieter than any of the other places I've visited, but much more serene and calm to visit Lunch trip is to a jade factory, and tea ceremony at the end, both shopping opportunities... Great day out, very much recommend

5.00Jimmy was an excellent tour guide, he had a lot of knowledge and excellent English, I learned a lot about the Great Wall and enjoyed the walk. Jimmy also took us to the Ming tombs and to a tea ceremony, we learned a lot from Jimmy at the Ming tombs and this made the visit very interesting and informative. The transport was by car and it was very comfortable and warm. I had an amazing day and am very grateful for Jimmy!

5.00Mary was knowledgeable and kind. She was flexible and answered all of my questions. She saw that I was struggling and understood when I said I didn’t want to keep going on the Great Wall at under 0 degrees. The windchill made it even more bitter cold. She was thoughtful and kept us as warm as possible while giving me the VIP treatment. This was a fun day and well worth the money.
