Discover “the fairest land ‘tis possible to see” on our Green Gables Shore half-day tour from Charlottetown. This is the quaint, historic region of Prince Edward Island that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s classic 1908 novel ‘Anne of Green Gables.’ You will see rolling hills of farmland, sandy beaches and sandstone cliffs. Tour the popular Prince Edward Island National Park and Green Gables Heritage House with a knowledgeable guide, visit a fishing harbour, pass by oyster and mussels farms, then stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company with artisan preserves, fine teas and giftware. You will return to Charlottetown within 4 hours, leaving you time to explore the compact, walkable downtown on your own.

Tour guide was knowledgeable and certainly tried to enhance The Anne of Green of Gables story and info about the author, Lucy Maud Montgomery background, my family and teenage grandsons found bus trip long.

This tour was even more than we had hoped for. Maura Lee was a wonderful tour guide ~ she had so much insight into the island and history. She is quite the character and kept the tour entertaining. We started off with a tour of the Charlottetown. Stopping and tasting at the island preserve company. Spending time at Green Gables. A quick stop at Cavendish and then on to Rustico for a lesson on lobster traps. We highly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this tour. The drive was scenic and the tour guide was very knowledgeable giving wonder history and facts along the way. The walk through the haunted forest was beautiful, we found some fairy holes along the way.
