Comfortable fast ride to Green Island. We then walked along the boardwalk through the national park and did the glass bottom boat tour. Many people were snorkelling. It was a very enjoyable 1/2 day tour

If you do the half day, you will not have time for snorkeling if you choose the semi-submersible or glass bottom boat (about 20 minutes by the time you get the stinger suit on etc). So even though it's marketed as both, you reall won't get to do both. It is feasible to do the glass bottom boat and the semi-submersible. Do the full day if you can. The jetty goes back and forth from Cairns all day; it's unfortunate that you can't come back on a later one and get 2/3 of a day, but they do not offer this. The stinger suit I was given was damp and it smelled! This was the first trip out that day, so it must have been sitting damp overnight. I didn't even try to go snorkeling because the idea of putting that on was unappealing. The jetty is very nice, and the operation was run very smoothly. The staff was fantastic. Green Island is beautiful. The price is very reasonable compared to what our ship offered, but you do have timing issues when you go with a private company because they do not cater as much to cruise passengers as they do to land tourists.

overall a good day, felt a little disorganized and no one like told us where the best snorkeling was / where to go or offered us cleaning liquid for the snorkeling masks and the masks weren’t great (kept leaking etc) but definitely recommend going to the island and visiting! such a cute little area

Wonderful trip out to the Great Barrier reef. We chose glass bottom boat trip...wish we were able to snorkel.! Everyone was helpful and pleasant. While we did this as an independent tour from a cruise ship docked in Yorkey's Knob, I wouldn't recommend this. Timing cuts too close and we almost missed the sailing. But if your schedule is more flexible, totally recommend.

The weather was super choppy on March 17th, 2026. I would encourage folks to book at the correct season, what ever that may be for this area.

The half day tour was ample time to see plenty of sea life in the reefs. We did both the glass bottom boat and the semi submersible tours. Definitely recommend both, you see different parts of the reef and get different perspectives. Crews were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great friendly service, unfortunately our glass bottom boat was cancelled due to rough conditions. We were offered snorkelling instead.

The ride out to Green Island took 45 minutes each way, but it was well worth the ride. I found the time there was adequate but some snookers thought it was too short. The glass bottom boat although short was very good.
