Learn to surf with Gecko Surf School! We provide you with everything you need to surf. Every lesson starts with a short land lesson on the basics of surfing and ocean safety.

Then we get into the water for the rest of your lesson. Our instructors will help you get up and riding your first wave in no time!

Learn to surf with other beginners. If you like meeting new people, this lesson is for you.

What To Expect

In the two-hour surf lesson we teach the essence of surfing. The two main techniques that all surfers need to know: how to paddle and catch waves and how to stand on the board. This is the beginning of surfing and a lifestyle! What to expect from one of our surf lessons: - Security Summary - Warm Up - Instruction on the beach on how to paddle and put standing on the board (stand-up) - Practice in the water according to the instructions given on the beach - Comments on the water with the instructor What we provide: - Surfboards - suitable for your experience, weight and height - Surfing suit - suitable for conditions (do not forget that the clasp is on the back). - Accident insurance

Really nice experience. Chill and positive atmosphere. The instructors give you some rules after stretching on the beach and then they assist you in the water. I would do it again!

Pedro and his team were real professional. Provided the right techniques. The area is great to learn with some smaller waves. My kids enjoyed it so much they want to continue surfing after the class was done. We rented boards from them a few days later to continue practicing. Thank you again Pedro and team

Great coaching with quality equipment. It is well organized and conveniently located. As a false beginner I developed with bespoke coaching tips, plus I could see total beginners standing early on.

Amazing experience with an amazing staff. Even if you can do only one lesson it worth it! Two hours experience and the price was cheaper comparse to other locations in Costa de Caparica

We were totally happy at surf school. We booked two hours of classes for us parents (over 40) and our children (9 and 12 years). Although the weather was very bad (rain, stormy), we had a lot of fun and managed to get up on our own, stand on the board and surf all the way to the beach in the end. The surf instructors were incredibly dedicated, were in the water with us the whole time, helped us on the board again and again, always gave suitable tips, looked after our youngest especially closely (almost 1:1). We felt safe and secure.

Had a realy nice week here. Had lessons for 4 days. The surfinstructors were very nice. Surfschool is located near the beach so you can change your surfboard realy quick. Very good price. keep in mind that you are tied to certain times because of the tide.
