Lake Sevan
The fascination and the "pearl" of mountainous Armenia is Lake Sevan, which is one of the world's greatest high altitude fresh-water lakes. It is about 1900 m above sea level. The lake is of volcanic origin and is surrounded with mountains of 3000 m and higher. The beautiful landscape and the crystal water serve nice preconditions for excellent rest. The lake is also famous for its peninsula and medieval church complex, built in 874.

This is my third tour with Hyur Service over two years of traveling to Armenia, and it’s sure not to be the last! Hyur ensures comfort and hospitality while providing an interesting and fun experience. I would recommend to anyone. Hayk was a fantastic guide and Armen was an impressive and very safe driver. I couldn’t be more pleased!

Highly recommend Hyur and this tour (our second with Hyur). Our guide Edward was very knowledgeable and engaged with the group (combined English and Russian speakers). We saw all in the itinerary. Great lunch (pay extra, good value). It was a very long tour due to the amount of travel required to get places. Our driver Khachik was exceptional - very safe compared to some other driving we’ve experienced. Providing cold water is a nice touch since it was incredibly hot. The mini bus was very comfortable and clean. Hyur was very helpful when we were choosing which tours to take. Personally I’d prefer some shorter tours as there are a lot of tours well over 10hrs, so tours on consecutive days a bit tiring for us. I would have done more tours if there were more shorter ones which might mean fewer sights visited but that would be ok.
