This was fun and informative. A great way to see part of the island that most tourists don’t go to. Our guide Alexandra had a lot of interesting things to teach us about SXM. Unfortunately, there were a lot of wasps along the trail that day because the wind wasn’t blowing much.

Angela and Jacques were very informative and kept a good pace throughout the hike. Amazing views and the weather cooperated (rain & sun complemented each other).

Excellent tour guide and staff, highly knowledgeable and friendly. Guides you through a semi-challenging but very doable and family friendly hike through absolutely gorgeous scenery. Waters and breaks/photo opportunities are provided, as well as bus transportation to and from the port. A must do for any family on a cruise.

Our experience with our guide Juan Pablo was 5 stars! We honestly felt so lucky that we happened to be the only couple who booked that day, it felt like we had the entire island to ourselves, going on our own private secret adventure. Juan Pablo was incredibly welcoming and extremely knowledgeable — from the unique history of St. Maarten to the nature, plants, wildlife and the surrounding areas. You can truly tell he loves what he does and where he lives. As someone who is not super active day-to-day, I will say the hike can be challenging at certain parts. There are some steep ups and downs. But with Juan Pablo’s great tips, encouragement, and pacing, it was totally manageable — and absolutely worth it. I would 100% do it again!

The tour guide answered all of my questions. She gave us a detailed conversation of the island’s background. She showed us all the different rock formations along with the names. In the end I was very happy with the service and would recommend for all ages.

This place was perfect and beautiful !!!! I got engaged to my future wife there. She wanted something unique, and definitely not cliché. The tour guides are very informational and they also help take a few of our photos at no additional cost. They really made this experience unforgettable and I highly recommend taking a tour. The views were definitely breathtaking and definitely worth the climb.

My husband and I absolutely loved the Guana Bay coastal hike—it ended up being our favorite excursion during our cruise! The scenery along the trail was beautiful, and our guides Alex and Jack were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the transportation; the vans were clean, comfortable, and had excellent air conditioning—a great way to cool off before and after the hike. Tip for future hikers: Be sure to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. The trail has loose rocks, and it’s easy to trip or slide if you’re not careful. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting St. Maarten!

Our guide was wonderful. The hike gives you a different look at the island that you might not see otherwise. My 11 and 13 year old had no issues with the terrain.

We chose this as a option from our Royal Caribbean cruise excursion choices and couldn't be more pleased. Pablo and Jack were excellent tour guides during our hike. We had the opportunity to see iguanas and learn about the local flora and fauna, as well as the island's history, geography, and weather patterns. We also got to view some coral that divers had discovered and left for us to see. The hike can be a bit challenging, especially for those who are not in good shape. A few participants took breaks as needed, and it was nice to enjoy a beverage together at the end of the hike. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely worth every penny.
