Janet was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and informative. The video was a good introduction to Napier pre volcano and post volcano. The walk was very interesting and enlightened us on art deco period. Napier is a delightful town and the colours of the houses and shops definitely enhance it.

Napier is a treasure and to have curated stroll with a guide makes it all meaningful. One comment is the tour focusses more on the earthquake and history of Napier than the actual art behind the architecture. A brief rundown of the history of Art Deco style would add to the enjoyment. The guide didn't stray from the script, which was a bit stuffy. Closed captioning on the film that started the tour would help, I'm American and I found it a bit hard to understand, I assume non-natice speakers and hearing impaired would find it worse. Worth doing, could be better.

We had a very small tour group (just the two of us and our guide Susan). Great intro video. Walking tour in lovely weather on a Saturday afternoon. The city was noisy but the earpiece worked really well. Got a great overview of history and art deco: really fascinating. Tour perfect length, great value for money. Highly recommend as you learn so much - easy to think a self-guided walk would be enough but you’d miss so much.

This tour gives an interesting overview of the history of Napier, the earthquake and rebuilding of the city. Our guide, Charlotte was knowledgeable and engaging. We had a great experience.

Even though we had walked around Napier admiring the different types of decor, doing the guided tour filled in a lot more information as well as the amazing history of the place. Additionally with a guided tour you get to see interesting things you would of missed, like the lead lights and windows maintained during the rebuilds

This was an very interesting and informative tour of the excellent Art Deco architecture in Napier. Christofer was our guide and he was very knowledgable. Unfortunately, we had to leave the tour a bit early. We would have liked to have finished it, but couldn't. Maybe next time.

Brilliant guide, very informative, great knowledge, perfect amount of detail, obviously a passionate admirer of Napier’s history and architecture Good length of tour with enough time to ask questions and discuss but not so long that you get tired!
