Havenhuis Vantage – Zaha Hadid Meets Historic Dry Docks You disembark at a quiet pier opposite the shimmering Havenhuis, its diamond-glass hull seemingly afloat atop a 19th-century fire station. Framed by the adjacent dry docks—now being transformed into the city’s Maritime Museum—the spot is catnip for photographers. Your guide decodes Hadid’s design choices and shares insider gossip on how the new museum will breathe life into these granite basins.
Oosterweel Contrast Drive – Medieval Spire vs. Europe’s Largest Wharf As the car glides past the tiny 15th-century Oosterweel church, your guide draws your eye to the colossal construction yard right beside it—the Oosterweel works, currently Europe’s biggest wharf, where tunnel segments for Antwerp’s long-awaited Ring closure are being cast. In a few animated sentences, they connect the dots between medieval river parishes, post-war port expansion, and today’s multi-billion-euro infrastructure overhaul.

A very nice educational experience in a nice loose Mood. Saw corners of the harbour I'd never seen before. Merci Laurens for the pleasant afternoon.

Nice to learn to look at the docks and harbor with the family with different glasses. A guide who, with passion and love for our city and port, introduced us to what is special about the port of Antwerp. Not a boring list of facts and dates, but passionate stories told. A dialogue between a guide and captivated curious people. Getting to know locations we had never been to before. From unique nature, to specific shapes or location of certain storage places. Twice, may experience that even in the middle of nowhere in our harbor, bigbrother was whatching us. Big thanks Laurens. It was educational, fun and fascinating to have been on the road with you. Julien and family.

After a motorcycle ride from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Doel, I became fully aware of the immensity of the site as I walked along the quays. So I did some research on the Internet and came across the Antwerp Port Tours website. When booking online, I saw that a guide spoke Luxembourgish and I booked without hesitation! Niki, our exceptional multilingual guide, shared her knowledge with us with passion. With more than 40 years of experience in the maritime environment, she has made every moment exciting. A visit to recommend to all. Thank you, Niki!
