The Markt
The belfry is the most important building on the Grote Markt. This square is surrounded by guild houses with an ancient history.
Basilica of the Holy Blood
The Basilica of the Holy Blood has an impressive facade with gold-colored statues. You reach the upper chapel in neo-Gothic style via a special staircase. There is also an elevator. You don't want to miss this! The lower chapel is completely different. It surprises with the thick walls, small windows and the unique atmosphere. The centuries-old town hall is located on the same square. This building with the slender towers is an absolute eye-catcher. Here the guide will tell you about the statues and coats of arms.

5.00Fabienne was our guide and was brilliant. She was really informative about all the areas we visited. It was our first time to Bruges and she made the tour really interesting and pointed out all the historical places we should also visit on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend anyone visiting for the first time to book in.

5.00Guided tour in French, with a very friendly guide, very pleasant boat ride, and small chocolate tasting to top it all off, it was great. In addition, we were able to do this activity with our dog (a small pomsky) We recommend 😊

3.00Our guided was great and knowledgeable but we couldn’t hear her for the first half of the trip. Between the bells chiming, workers, and having to whisper in the churches, it was impossible to hear unless you were right in front of the guide. Otherwise it was a very nice tour. The boat tour was great and overall we still enjoyed it.

5.00Delightful walking tour with Brigit and fun canal boat ride with Captain Alan. Brigit had a wealth of interesting knowledge about the magical 800 year old UNESCO World Heritage city of Brugge. Totally worth the time, gentle walk, easy pace. Beautiful to see the details of the city. Canal boat ride was excellent-great to see Brugge from the canal view. Highly recommend! Visit Brugge Madonna after! Oh and we especially loved the area founded by and lived in exclusively by women- Begunenhuisje is a 12th century community formed by women who had husbands out on the crusades (felt unsafe) or widows and nuns-only women have ever lived here through to today. Gated community-gates open 8am-6pm, then only female residents can access . The peace was palpable…a sanctuary…
