Marty was a terrific guide through terrain entirely unfamiliar to us. He offered both historical perspective and interesting details about Amish culture and experience. The trip was designed to offer a slice of everyday Amish life, from an Amish-owned toy factory, to an Amish goat farm, to an Amish harness-making shop. We even stopped by an Amish grocery store and spent way too much time perusing the offerings. We took the opportunity at each stop to purchase local goods -- although Marty went out of his way to let us know we did not have to do so -- and to ask questions about the shopkeepers' lives. The people we met were obviously fond of Marty, and it was clear he had forged real relationships over time with them, which made our experience that much richer. We ended the day with the best Pennsylvania dutch pretzels we ever had. We highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour. Marty was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information throughout the day. There were plenty of stops to get out and explore different areas of life and culture within the Amish community. Could have used more time at lunch for eating and exploring.
