This trip will take you on one of Norway’s most popular and spectacular hikes. It is for good reason that this hike has gained its popularity with visitors to Norway and locals alike. Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock - or Preikestolen in Norwegian - is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.

Our guide (Kenth) was great! He was helpful and made sure we were wearing the right type of clothing and hiking shoes. I have a fear of heights, everything was fine but 100 meters before Pulpit Rock I stopped and stayed put. Kenth guided our group to Pulpit Rock, then came back for me. Thanks Kenth, you made our day!!!

A incredible view at the top. Kurt was great- we had a chill time with him on not an easy hike - was definitely grateful for hiking boots with high ankle support. Kurt kindly stopped to show us some petroglyphs on the way home too. We avoided the crowds by going early so got some cool photos too! Thanks!

Lysefjord Adventure guide was excellent. Small group of five walking at our own pace. Hiked up early and missed the hordes, so we were alone on Pulpit. Fantastic experience.

We are not at all happy with the way this company works. To begin with, we tried to change the day trip because the weather forecast said it was going to be rain and snow nonstop and the next day estimated sun and clouds. They told us it wasn't possible and if we canceled we couldn't get the money back. We are talking about about 140€ per person rounding the Norwegian crowns, a group of 7 people, a not insignificant amount in our opinion for a 6-hour excursion. For much of the way it was snowing and blizzard. One of my friends decided to turn around shortly after starting the excursion through the conditions. When we got upstairs you couldn't see anything, as expected. Also, the guide seemed unprofessional. He was going at his pace (without adapting to ours) and on several occasions he rolled through the snow downhill. He didn't have many social skills either. If I had to repeat it, it would be in the summer and without a guide. It is not worth paying for the excursion. And very important, that the sky is clear to enjoy the views.

Viator cancel my reservation two days before the tour and don’t give us a good reason why the cancellation.

Our excursion was scheduled for January 9th. Everything went well. We were picked up on schedule. The tour guide Kenth was very nice and cheerful. Thank you for accompanying us. Also thank you for taking a few photos of us :) We are happy and tired. The weather was very windy.
