What To Expect
Join us on this amazing nature experience, a guided kayak trip around the islets outside Bergen. Transport from the Tourist Information and snack is included. During this beginner level tour, you will experience coastal wildlife, hear stories about local cultural and natural history, and enjoy delicious snack made with locally-sourced ingredients. This tour is the best medicine for your body and soul! This tour allows you to safely experience the local islets around Bergen with the expertise of a local guide. You do not need any kayaking experience as we will provide instruction in safety and rescue techniques. Out among the islets there is plentiful birdlife. If you look down through the crystal clear waters you will see small crabs, shrimps and maybe a salmon jumping beside your kayak, if you look up you may see a eagle! Min age: 8 years old No prior kayak experience needed. You will paddle mostly in double kayaks. Duration: 5 hours in total, included transport. Normally 2-2.5 hrs on the water. Departure point: The guide will meet you outside the entrance to the Tourist Information in Bergen. We return to the same place.

5.00We had such a wonderful time with our guide Iris. She shared her knowledge about the islands, the wildlife and her love for kayaking and nature with us - time was flying during the trip! We also had the luck of having very calm sea which made the experience even better and not exhausting at all. The kayaks were very easy to handle even though it was our first time. At our lunch break on a little island everyone got a local "eplemost" and delicious wraps! This trip is a must if you're in or around Bergen!

5.00What a perfect day. Victor picked us up right on time and was the most amazing guide. He showed our small group of 8 everything we needed to know to maneuver our kayaks through the water. He spent time with each of us along the way and pointed out so many interesting things. The lunch afterword was delicious, especially the homemade waffles for dessert. So glad we did this. Thank you Victor.

5.00We spent our only morning in Bergen kayaking and came away delighted with the choice. We had a great time exploring the fjords with our guide Johan who did an impressive job making sure each of his guests enjoyed their experience. There was a range of physical ability and familiarity with kayaking among the group, but everyone more than enjoyed their time on the water. We learned about local history and wildlife and wrapped up with a nice Norwegian lunch. One of our favorite days of the trip.

5.00The kayak trip is actually in the North Sea, not the fjords. It was windy and very choppy. Beautiful and the guid Victor, was amazing! He found a bunch of hidden spots out of the wind and told us all about the area. Two of our group couldn’t kayak so they fished. The fish they caught, our guide cooked them and we ate them right from the sea! So delicious! We had an amazing time! Highly recommend!

4.00Pick up was delayed due to a breakdown but our guide communicated with us twice about the delay. We drove 30 mins to the most outward islands to a very remote location. We were given wet gear to put over our street clothes; pants and jacket. All kayaks are doubles. The guide was knowledgeable about seaweed and sea life. We even paddled part of the North Sea which was pretty interesting. We were on the water for about 2.5 hours and then were given a lunch. All in all an enjoyable day

5.00We had so much fun on this trip. We met the guides in the center of Bergen (easy location by Tourist Center) and then took a 40 minute ride to the location. We kayaked on the North Sea (note that it’s not a fjord). We had a perfect weather day! Our guide, Victor, was personable and fun. We were on the water for 2+ hours. You will get wet but not completely soaked. It was the perfect start to our trip.
