Our trip to Salt Mine will start with picking up from a previously determined place in Krakow from a hotel or apartment. The journey from Krakow to Wieliczka takes about 40 minutes. Information about your pick up time you will get one day before the trip.
Wieliczka Salt Mine
Visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mine takes 3 hours. Before visiting, you will receive headphones to better hear the guide. The entire route is less than 3 km and there are over 800 stairs to climb. However, they are beaten in batches. Return to the top is the elevator.

We got let down the evening before the salt mines by another company (cancelled our booking without explanation via email!), so booking this at gone 9pm for the next day and still being so on time and well communicated has been such a blessing and we're very grateful! The driver - Bartek - was very friendly, very approachable and kept very professional. Everything was communicated well and knew what to expect at every point. The guide we had was very funny and very informative and kept us all safe and in one piece! Thank you for fitting us in, we're so happy we got to go!

5.00Our Salt Mines trip was fantastic. Everything went smoothly, and Michal was an absolute gentleman. I was really impressed with the service and would happily recommend it to a friend. We were collected on time right outside our hotel, and Michal made sure we were first in line so we didn’t have to wait in the cold. He gave clear instructions for after the tour and even offered to drop us off at Mr. Pancake on the way back, even though it was out of his way — such a thoughtful gesture. The tour guide for the mines was so sweet and informative, and her little jokes along the way made the experience even more enjoyable.

5.00Kuba our driver on collection & pick up was professionally hospitable, he was full of very useful knowledge about Krakow, eating out, amongst other recommendations etc. A genuinely nice guy! The tour was most definitely a must see as the wow factors was just endless guided by a really good tour host who made the tour more fun ensuring everything was clear explanatary & the group felt comfortable.

5.00The whole excursion surpassed our expectations. The drivers were both friendly and helpful. Both were also very professional too. The "English" speaking guide was very knowledgeable. The only thing I would add, maybe would be more free time to explore the area independently.

4.00All the steps are going down and you come up on the lift.. The photo of the scenic staircase going down the rock wall is only accessible with an Extra charge and you will not have time if you are on a guided tour. Its a regular 17 degrees, warm when you are walking.

3.00Visiting the mine was actually worthwhile doing ,basically a must while in Krakow.It's an absolute joy and awe-inspiring. Now,the logistics of it was an absolute mess.We booked skip-the line tickets with an english-speaking driver to take us there..Well,his english was marginally better than my chinese(i don't speak at all chinese )..We were a group of about 8 people (all speaking english btw)..Anyway the van was a taxi van(i'm guessing it was subcontracted by the company-hence the extensive language skills)..We got there and boy we waited in line for a while until we were attached to an official guide along with other people(no skip-the-line tickets )Now the lady guide was very nice and knowledgeable,explained everything in detail and all,no complaints there.The final hurdle was at the end-when we finished the tour,she gave the whole group 3 options-stay and have lunch,shop,whatever- then go,stay for the museum tour,or bugger off,so we went(from our initial group anyway)..well,obviously we couldn't just wander around to find the exits looks like it(makes sense tbh)..everybody needs to be attached to a group,so when we done that..the lady guide for that group became a bit nervous and angry(extra people to look after i guess)she get more mellow by the end when we exited the mine...Now getting back to the driver was another story,couple of people got lost/delayed getting back,angry driver,couldn't speak properly with them 'cos no english,the whole drive back was huffing and puffing..Anyway..like i said,the mine is absolutely worth visiting,but based on this experience alone,choose another company.
