Marseille is the oldest port in the Mediterranean and the oldest city in France over 2600 years old! With such a rich history and a multitude of colorful faces, it is an exciting and vibrant city. From early barbaric tribes, the Phoenicians, the Romans, The Crusaders, to kings, Napoleons, the wars, battles, triumphs and her glorious ascent to the Capital of Provence and European Capital of Culture. Marseille, eternal.
I've been guiding in Marseille since 2018, with a unique view as a French-American. I cater the tours to the participants and I talk with them, not at them. This is a high quality, small group, personally crafted experience. After the tour, I orient and guide guests to other attractions in the city or great places to eat.
I am also a historical researcher, novelist and screenwriter. But the tour is far from just a history lecture, as we discuss the culture and society of Marseille. An absolutely must-have experience that will leave you wanting more! See you, Sarit.

Sarit was very informative, with lots of history and stories. The route was also very well planned, and she gave us suggestions for other things to check out after the tour.

Sarit was our tour guide and she was so friendly and patient with us. She was very knowledgable about the history of Marseille. We walked throughout parts of Marsaille. She took us to a neighborhood where we visited some shops and saw some local people. She introduced us to some soap and lotion made with donkey milk (amazing) and some hot wine. 😊 I highly recommend this tour and Sarit is the one to take you on your tour.

This is a private walking tour to the old historical section of Marseille. Good information for each of the five stops plus a restroom break for the group. At two and a half hours walking tour for a group of eight, the total cost would be better spent with a local food tour that would cover similar ground with some tasty food.

You have to walk. It’s a walking tour no busses involved. Some people had a hard time. This is why I mention this sarit was amazing and we learned a lot and did all of the things she recommended after the tour. Including a Michelin stared restaurant table au sud❣️❣️❣️❣️

Outstanding tour from Sarit who was knowledgeable and informative, giving us a great insight into the city of Marseille from its very origins to the present day. We were never rushed and the tour was comprehensive but remained interesting and pertinent. We’ve done many city walking tours in recent years and Sarit’s was probably the best of a very good bunch. Great pre-meet up arrangements too. Thank you !

The guide was very knowledgeable and outgoing. She guided us thru a neighborhood that was brought up to more modern standards with some great and colorful street art. We also visited a beautiful cathedral that contained beautiful mosaic tiles and lots of art. This tour was NOT listed as a walking tour and my husband and I would not have taken the tour if we had known this. With stairs and uneven surfaces, it was difficult for us.

There are some stairs and a few inclines, but overall an easy walk. Our guide was very patient and accommodating to all in our group.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a good introduction to Marseille. It was a small group, only six total, which was great. If it had been bigger, it would have been difficult to hear her as she was soft-spoken.
