Good organization. Good communication. Good food. Cold beer. Hawksbill turtle while snorkeling! Julien is quick, efficient, and in charge in a good way. Runs a tight operation. Felt safe and comfortable.

Julien and his group — Ness and Morialla, gave us a wonderful adventure. We boated to Komba Island first and had such fun walking through the very lush forests seeing so many lemurs… the lemurs are friendly and inquisitive— jumping from the trees onto our shoulders, jumping from one of us to the others. We saw tortoises, turtles, vanilla bean vines, cocao. Quite fun. Our guides were very knowledgeable and interesting. Next we boated to Tanikely Island, another beautiful island, white sandy beach, had a delicious lunch of rice, barbecue fish, warm potato salad and cold beer under a large thatched roof. Afterwards we snorkeled in not very deep water but the fish were beautiful and plentiful. We saw a huge parrot fish who nibbled on my husbands water shoes. We also enjoyed following a large sea turtle. We had a memory making day. I highly recommend.

These islands are lovely. Worth visiting. Recommend, with reservations below. Lunch was amazing. Beautiful fish and animals. Julien, our guide, is very kind. The lemur visit is basically an unfenced zoo. As adorable as they are, feeding and handling them is exploitation. They jumped on me anyway, but I had nothing to do with bananas or anything else. The local “guides” should know better. Many snakes (mostly in pits), and non-indigenous tortoises imported for “the tourists,” are also wrong for this ecosystem. Nearly extinct chameleons made the day. 99% coral dead is our fault and horrific. Industrial Revolution and fossil fuels did this. If you have snorkeled before, you will feel yourself the water is too hot. Madagascar is an enigma. Profound poverty, but relatively high prices for visitors. Nosy Be itself is one circle of hell. The smaller islands, paradise. Bring lots of sun protection. Hat, towel, sturdy shoes and sandals if you can. Lemur location slippery. Sand very hot. Water, etc.

I enjoyed the beauty of the place, especially Nosy Komba, with its natural landscapes and calm atmosphere. However, some aspects such as organization, time spent on each site or communication of the guide could be improved to provide a better experience.

Initially, the tour seemed disorganized. We arrived very punctually, other guests were unfortunately late and our name was not on the tour list. The bottom line is, everything worked out. Great tour seen a lot. Unfortunately, the aquarium didn't come true due to the rain the day before. Our guide helped us where he could.

An amazing experience. Our guide, Julian was punctual, entertaining and very informed. We travelled with a 12 and 4 year old and both equally enjoyed the experience. The guides were great with finding ideal spots for us to interact with the lemurs as well as Boa snakes. Snorkeling was great and we saw turtles feeding on coral and many different kinds of fish. Carry your own snorkeling gear.

Our guide Julien is a terrific and fun guide - who has shown and explained a lot to us. Even while snorkeling he showed us a lot of animals - even to touch. We felt in good hands and can recommend Julien to anyone who books a trip.
