  Bjarte is an awesome driver and guide! He shares his knowledge of the city and showed us the sights to make it a memorable trip for us. He is warm and plans efficiently as well. Makes everything so enjoyable. Highly recommended!

  Everything about the trip was excellent. Pick up was on time, regular stops along the way for coffee and comfort breaks. Waterfall was a roadside stop and frozen and probably the most disappointing part of the trip but the cruise through the fjord, the time in Flam and the visit to the viewing platform were excellent. The fjord was truly stunning. Think we got lucky with the weather so it was cold and dry and in part sunny and so the colours and shadows on the water and the rocks were stunning. Our guide/driver was excellent. Seats on the 20 seater bus were a little narrow. Long day but a truly fab experience

  

  

  

  

  

• The most amazing tour

  We travelled with Bjoter (I think I spelled that right) on February 21st. It was the most incredible tour. Very comfortable bus, a well organised day. Our tour guide was so amazingly friendly and knowledgeable and we learned so much. He is also a great photographer and took some amazing pics of us for our trip. If you’re in Bergen this is a must do to see the amazing nature of west coast Norway.

  I’ve taken various tours across the world and Bjarte is the best tour guide I’ve met with the local knowledge for the best scenery, great knowledge, and commitment to his work. We arrive before schedule to every spot and was shown some local hidden gems each time. Even as we returned swiftly to town after a 10hour journey, Bjarte still took a slightly different route to show use the oldest street in town. I have great respect for his work and trust that the company upholds this standard with the other tours. I will definitely come back for more. In mean time, for the first time, I will miss Bjarte and the wonderful day trip.

• Brilliant full day tour to the fjords from Bergen

  This is an 11 hour tour, by bus and boat across the mountains and the fjords, with spectacular scenery and places to visit and see (I won't spoil the pleasure by detailing everything we saw and did). You go by minibus from Bergen centre with a local guide - ours was Bjarte who was a mine of information about literally everything from traditional food to the Norwegian economy! In the middle you transfer to a boat for a wonderful two hour cruise through the fjords to Flam. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.

  It's a very interesting experience. The good weather we got, made us have very impressive views. Our guide was very friendly and told us many curious facts about Bergen and the fjords.

  

• Missed it due to an uncommunicated 1.7hr train delay, no refund or partial compensation at all

  I'm not someone who normally leaves a review like this but want others to be very aware of our experience. We had an overnight train from Oslo to Bergen, departed on time at 10:56pm and supposed to arrive 6:23am. Due to snow/ice (which you might think Norway railway companies would be used to, or have plans for), the train was 1.7hrs delayed with no prior warning or communication, arriving at Bergen at 8:06am - causing us to miss the tour entirely. I couldn't call on the train, so tried texting the driver's number, with no response, only to be told later the driver might not receive texts on that number (!?). After arriving, I tried to call the company many times but their office didn't open until 9am that day (online opening hours was wrong). Despite the delay being completely outside our control, the company refused any refund or partial compensation, so we're just completely out of pocket a whopping £384.66 for something entirely beyond our control. There are no exceptions because "because there is a lot of reasons from our guest that can’t make the tour in time" - direct quote. They were insistent that we should "hopefully" get compensation from our travel insurance... We have "International Comprehensive +" travel insurance plan, but it does not cover 'activity refunds due to travel delay' as in our country, you would receive compensation from either train or travel company for this. To add insult to injury, we had only booked our 2x tickets for this tour 13hrs before the cancellation cut-off - and it was not sold out either, so safe to assume there was little or no impact on their resale ability or income. To be fair, the person I was messaging was nice enough, but that doesn't make up for anything. TL,DR: company REALLY strict on cancellation policy. You will not be refunded for anything outside of your control, be aware of the risk.

  Highly recommend, not only for the beautiful views and value for money but for the tour guide Thomas!! We loved him so much. He was fun, informative, and the right amount of chatty. Also a skilled driver which is a plus.
