24, 25, 31 December and 1 January the Palace of Pena and the Quinta da Regaleira will be closed.
In cases where the Palacio da Pena or the Quinta da Regaleira are closed due to natural events (such as storms or fire risk), other alternate places will be visited, such as the National Palace of Sintra and the Palace of Queluz. The tour will not be cancelled in these situations
The guide may need to speak more than one language during the tour
This experience requires a minimum of 4 participants. If you cancel due to failure to comply with this number, a new date or full refund will be presented.

5.00Our trip was amazing! Patrick, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable. Provided great history lessons/context for each of the places we visited. Spoke at least 5-6 different languages and was able to provide perspective from all of his travels as well. Beyond that, he was a kind/caring person. One of the gems from our visit to Lisbon.

5.00We had 2 tour guides. I don’t remember the name of one of them. Our principle guide was Hugo. Hugo was exceptional. At first, a bit quiet. But after a while we realized he was extremely smart and informative . He was a wealth of knowledge . He knew the history of everything we saw and was able to answer every question we had . His partner that day was more charismatic and fun for sure as Hugo was the more dry one . They made an excellent team . The luncheon place was our favorite restaurant thus far . The main places we were supposed to visit were closed due to fire hazards . No problem for our duo. They took us to other palaces which were just gorgeous! The information that Hugo was able to give us made it so remarkable . In the blistering heat they kept us cool and comfortable . Thank you to this duo for a wonderful tour!

5.00This tour was amazing. There were some closures due to weather but the tour was able to pivot and have everyone the opportunity to cancel or accept the new itinerary. It was a small intimate tour and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had an amazing time. Must do experience.

4.00Great: Our guides Luis and Hector were great. Gregarious. Nice, helpful, safe drivers and would anticipate what we'd like. They also coordinated to keep our two families (6 and 4 people) together for the big elements. Marta the coordinator was also great at keeping us up to date prior to the trip with updates on WhatsApp! THANKS! Less Great: We were quite disappointed by the closure of Pena Palace and the Regaleira by the local government for a fire risk, which was somewhat confusing as one of the substitutions "Sintra National Palace" was quite close to Regaleira..but as a consequence, quite crowded. That wasn't the tour company's fault, and we thanks them for coming up with the alternatives! The other, "Palacio de Queluz" was grand, and happily less crowded (virtually empty). Surprised: We were charged an additional stipend for the two substitutions (would have thought the charges would offset, given the Pena Palace/Regaleira admissions included in our ticket). We also thought our group of 10 was traveling in the same van, and only found out in the end that it was two separate vans....which meant separation in Cascais, and at certain stops. C'est la vie. We all, incluidng our delightful guides, made the best of things! Thanks!
