This guided trip will take you on one of Norway’s most popular and spectacular hikes. It is for good reason that this hike has gained its popularity with visitors to Norway and locals alike. Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock – or Preikestolen in Norwegian – is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.

A great trip up Preikestolen. The guide, Helga was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. We were provided with crampons which worked really well as some parts of the trail were quite icy and full of snow. It got easier once you past the first part of the trail, so keep going! The top was very quiet and we were lucky to have a clear and beautiful sunny day. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This guided tour was a very very good way to see Preikestolen in the winter! Hege was an extremely companionable and knowledgeable guide, she helped everyone feel comfortable and socialised with the entire group. Definitely recommend!

Hege, our lovely guide, lead us safely to the peak. The clime was amazing, the winter hike pretty much demands a pro guide and specific equipment that was provided. There was no chance we could have made this walk alone as we were first to climb that day so no tracks and the snow covered the trail and most of the signs. If you do take this hike, consider low visibility. We plan to return in the summer, but even so: the experience is amazing. Thank you, Hege!

Incredible experience. The trek was very beautiful and fun. It is not difficult for an average physical state. The weather in the pulpit was not the best and the Fjord could not be seen due to the fog, but it did not detract from the experience of being up there. Hege our guide is a magnificent and very prepared professional. Thanks for everything!!!

We had a great time and an amazing experience on this trip. Our guide Hege was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. She indeed made it a safe trip even though it snowed the entire time we were on the trail. I would say its a must do when in Stavanger. It was just us on the trail which felt great. Had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommend this in winter with a guide, because of the treacherous nature of the place, less sunlight hours and tricky ice conditions.
