Bulguksa Temple
A jewel of Silla-era Buddhist architecture, Bulguksa Temple is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and one of Korea’s most revered temples. Originally built in the 8th century, the temple complex showcases stunning architectural harmony between nature and design. Visitors can admire iconic structures like Dabotap and Seokgatap pagodas, and intricate stone staircases that symbolize the path to enlightenment. Set amidst pine forests and lotus ponds, Bulguksa offers spiritual peace and timeless beauty.
Yangdong Folk Village
[UNESCO Tour ONLY] Step back in time at Yangdong Village, Korea’s largest and most well-preserved traditional village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nestled among scenic mountains and gentle rivers, this centuries-old village embodies the Confucian ideals and class structure of the Joseon Dynasty. With over 160 hanok-style homes scattered across the hills, some still inhabited today, visitors can stroll past tiled rooftops, ancestral halls, and ancient academies. Surrounded by nature, Yangdong offers a serene, immersive look into Korea’s aristocratic past. (Lunch time at own expense is included)

What an incredible, action-packed day exploring Gyeongju! From the serene beauty of Bulguksa Temple and the charm of Yangdong Folk Village to the fascinating Daereungwon Tomb Complex and lively Hwangnidan-gil Street, every stop was unforgettable. Woljeonggyo Bridge and the magical night views at Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond were the perfect finale. Sophie and Danny were brilliant guides — knowledgeable, friendly, and full of enthusiasm. They brought Gyeongju’s rich history to life and made the experience truly special. We had an amazing time and would wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Thank you, Sophie!

Not sure the 5 star experience online was worth the rating. Why do we need a rest stop half an hour starting the tour?? The temple was amazing. 2 and a half hour tour on the village was far too long. That's only 1 restaurant for lunch. The food was awful. Everything so salty. The worst I have ever tasted in South Korea. The little gem hiding in the shopping street make it worth while. Wonji pond was beautiful. Unfortunately the light didn't light up on the bridge at the last stop. What a let down.

Sophie, our guide, was fantastic. Throughout the day she provided information in a knowledgeable and user friendly manner. The tour itself was very worthwhile. We learned a tremendous amount about Korean history and the role that Gyeongju played. Highly recommended!
