UNESCO Tour will also experience the culture of the Joseon dynasty at Yangdong Village, marvel at the illuminated Woljeong Bridge and end up at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.
While GYEONGJU Tour will end up at Gyeongju National Museum, home to priceless artifacts from the Silla Kingdom, including golden crowns and Buddhist relics.

Bulguksa Temple
A jewel of Silla-era Buddhist architecture, Bulguksa Temple is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and one of Korea’s most revered temples. Originally built in the 8th century, the temple complex showcases stunning architectural harmony between nature and design. Visitors can admire iconic structures like Dabotap and Seokgatap pagodas, and intricate stone staircases that symbolize the path to enlightenment. Set amidst pine forests and lotus ponds, Bulguksa offers spiritual peace and timeless beauty.
Yangdong Folk Village
[UNESCO Tour ONLY] Step back in time at Yangdong Village, Korea’s largest and most well-preserved traditional village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nestled among scenic mountains and gentle rivers, this centuries-old village embodies the Confucian ideals and class structure of the Joseon Dynasty. With over 160 hanok-style homes scattered across the hills, some still inhabited today, visitors can stroll past tiled rooftops, ancestral halls, and ancient academies. Surrounded by nature, Yangdong offers a serene, immersive look into Korea’s aristocratic past. (Lunch time at own expense is included)

5.00Our English guide was Sol. Her expert yet succinct explanations and professional time management made our Gyeongju UNESCO day tour from Busan a perfect outing. At Bulguksa, we were challenged to find the hidden gold pig. At Yangdong Folk Village, we were told the feud between the two clans and Sol even performed a traditional Korean bow ritual onsite. At Gyeongju-si, we visited three main spots - Daereungwon Royal Tombs in the afternoon, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond during sunset, and Woljeonggyo Bridge at night. All spots were at their best viewing times. Woljeonggyo Bridge is stunningly beautiful at night. Where we could take the best pic of the bridge was along the stone steps stretching across the river. The dark night did pose a challenge while walking down the slope to the stone steps. But Sol warned us ahead of the possible danger on the tour bus before we got off. Therefore we switched on the torch function of mobile phones to ease the walking efforts. Thanks Sol for guiding us back to ancient Korea in a magical fun way. We enjoy the tour and Sol's sweet smile a lot.

5.00Great tour! Definitely recommend if you want to get out of Busan and explore more historical landmarks. I think the bridge and temple were amazing, and burial grounds and village very interesting, but unfortunately the palace grounds were a little lackluster personally.

3.00I have three main recommendations to improve this tour, which I wouldn't recommend to others. Not worth losing a day for. 1) It would be great if the tour guide tried to create/facilitate a group dynamic by, for example, asking where everyone is from in the beginning or being conversational early on and throughout the trip to create a more social, friendly atmosphere that unites the group. 2) The 1.5 hour stop around 5pm, after a long day, at the park/tomb site to walk around the street nearby is very unnecessary. We had just eaten from 1-2pm so did not need a 1-1.5 hour stop for food or to stroll when everyone is tired with several hours left to go. I highly recommend cutting the hour given to walk along the street next to the park, if not the whole stop entirely to get people home earlier (or to start the tour later so it's still dark for the last two night stops). 3) The lunch stop was not good. It was the worst meal I've had during three weeks in Korea. It was also a very small portion and expensive considering the size and quality. Most people had to get dessert (an additional cost) from the attached cafe after to get enough to eat.

5.00My sister and I enjoyed our trip to Gyeongju - Bulguksa with its beautiful temples and the bucolic Yangdong Village - especially enjoyed the ginseng chicken lunch set menu - and sunset at Wolji Pond. The tour provided clear instructions for meet up and Irene (English) and Lan (Chinese) were great tour guides - patient, helpful, and professional.

We truly enjoyed long day fulfilled with different content program: treasures of the nature, spiritual places, historical locations and fantastic illuminated evening views in Donggung palace of Gyeongju and Wolji Pond.
