At Quan Ba Heaven Gate, we stop to enjoy panoramic views over Tam Son town and the Twin Mountains, take photos, breathe in the cool mountain air, and learn a bit about the local landscape before continuing deeper into the Ha Giang Loop.
At Tham Ma Pass, we ride through a series of iconic hairpin turns, stop at the viewpoint for photos, and hear local stories about how this steep pass once tested the strength of horses—an unforgettable highlight of the Ha Giang Loop.

We arrive in Dong Van Ancient Town, the cultural heart of the rocky plateau. After checking in at the hotel, there’s time to rest and freshen up before heading out. Ma Pi Leng Pass
Ma Pi Leng Pass is considered the most spectacular section of the Ha Giang Loop and one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Vietnam. Winding along steep limestone cliffs, the road offers dramatic views over deep valleys and the emerald-green Nho Que River far below. Here, we stop at viewpoints to take photos, admire the scale of the landscape, and understand why Ma Pi Leng is called the “King of Passes” in northern Vietnam—a true highlight and unforgettable moment of the journey.
Nho Que River
We then continue down for a boat trip on the Nho Que River, cruising through the breathtaking Tu San Canyon, where towering cliffs rise above emerald-green water—one of the most peaceful and unforgettable experiences on the Ha Giang Loop.
Meo Vac
Stop for lunch
At M Pass (Cua Chu M), we stop at the viewpoint to see the road curve into a perfect “M” shape, take photos of the winding mountain scenery, and enjoy a short break before continuing the Ha Giang Loop.
Lung Ho
At Lung Ho Viewpoint, we stop to admire sweeping views over the Lung Ho Valley, with layered mountains, winding roads, and quiet ethnic villages below—an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful pause on the Ha Giang Loop.
Du Gia
At Du Gia Village, we slow down to experience a quieter side of the Ha Giang Loop. Surrounded by rice fields, rivers, and limestone mountains, Du Gia offers a peaceful village atmosphere where we meet locals, relax at a homestay, enjoy a home-cooked dinner, and unwind after a full day on the road.

We had such a great time doing the Ha Giang Loop. What an amazing experience. Our guide Phuc spoke good English and is a very good driver. Safety is his main concern, which we really appreciated. We saw other organizations driving reckless and having accidents. Phuc and Lu (easy rider) made sure we were safe at all times. Even though the easy rider Lu didn’t speak English, he helped us with everything. He was our photographer, made jokes, helped us with the food, the helmets and helped with the bags. 100% recommend.

Amazing experience! We booked a group tour and finally, we were alone with our great guides Perry and Mister Yes! If you have the opportunity to do Ha Giang, ask you to do it with them. The scenery is beautiful, the food delicious and their driving really pleasant. They always take us through places where there are fewer people. Our experience would not have been the same without them. We laughed, learned and admired a lot. Thank you for everything 🫶🏼

I did the Ha Giang Loop on the Raw Ha Giang Loop Tour for 3 days, and from the very beginning the attention to detail was second to none. Small groups are kept on purpose, which makes the experience feel truly authentic and personal. Our drivers, Phong and Va, made the trip absolutely incredible. They were super funny, friendly, and made us feel completely safe on the scooters at all times. We sang karaoke , enjoyed lovely evenings with happy water, and laughed nonstop. They were always there to help with anything we needed, with a smile. One thing I really appreciated about Raw Tours is the accommodation flexibility. You have the option to upgrade for a small extra cost to a private room with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning ,which is honestly a lifesaver when you’re not in your 20s anymore 😅. That comfort made a huge difference after long days on the road. Overall, an unforgettable experience: well organized, fun, safe, authentic, and full of great people. I couldn’t recommend Raw Ha Giang Loop Tour more.

Super 'loop' had. The organization (manager Linh is a treasure) and the easy rider were excellent. All necessities (such as rain gear) are available in the hostel (for normal prices) and I could even borrow extra clothes for the cold. Nature and everyday life along the course is very special. I've had some really nice experiences. (I don't help someone strap their pig back onto the back of a motorcycle every day after it slipped off.) Definitely recommended and very affordable.
