Ha Giang
You have breakfast at 8:00 at Odyssey Hostel, which is American or Vietnamese breakfast with tea/coffee. Then, you meet your tour guide and start the loop at 08:30. If you drive yourself, you get a short lesson on how to ride a motorbike and you follow the tour guide with a specific schedule.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate
Quan Ba Heaven Gate is a beautiful and scenic spot in Ha Giang province, where you can enjoy the view of the mountains, valleys, and villages. One of the attractions of Quan Ba Heaven Gate is the Twin Mountains, also called the Fairy Breast Mountains. They are two round hills that look like a pair of breasts. According to a legend, they were left by a fairy who fell in love with a Hmong man but had to return to heaven. We will stop at the checkpoint about 20-30 minutes
Yen Minh
From 11:00 – 12:00, you will have lunch in Yen Minh Town. The lunch includes rice, meat, egg, and vegetables. If you are vegetarian, you can tell us before and we will prepare some dishes for you.
The Tham Ma pass is about 5 km long at an altitude of 1500 meters and has a sharp zigzagging road. There is a checkpoint at the top of the pass where you can take pictures of the winding s-shaped road up. Children of ethnic minorities often walk around here with flowers. We will stop at the checkpoint about 20-30 minutes
Dinh Vua Meo
The Hmong king palace was the residence of two Hmong kings, Vuong Chinh Duc and Vuong Chi Sinh, who ruled the mountainous region of Ha Giang province from the late 19th to the mid-20th century. The palace was built in 1902-1907 with a mix of Hmong, French and Chinese architectural styles. It has 64 rooms, divided into three zones, and a stone wall for protection. The palace is located in Sa Phin valley, surrounded by mountains and fields. It is a national relic and a tourist attraction in Ha Giang province. We will stop here for about 1 hour.
After a long day on the motorbike, you will stay at Dong Van ancient town. Dong Van ancient town is located in the center of Dong Van, surrounded by rocky mountains. The town is known for its centuries-old houses, lively highland markets, and spirited festive evenings. It’s a cultural and commercial center of Dong Van town, where you can find cafes, restaurants, homestays, and souvenir shops. From 18:00 – 19:00, you will have dinner in a restaurant. The big dinner can be chicken hotpot or rice, meat, egg, and vegetables, depending on what you choose. If you are vegetarian, you can tell us before and we will prepare some dishes for you. Then you will have free time to do any activities you want: go around for a coffee, karaoke & drinks, massage,…(Not including in the Tour)

We will check out at 8:00 and then have Vietnamese breakfast. Then around 8:30, we will go to 4C road to keep conquering the Ha Giang Loop.
Ma Pi Leng Pass
Ma Pi Leng Pass is one of the most famous and dangerous passes in Vietnam, with its rugged curves and steep cliffs. The pass is about 20 km long and 1,200 - 1,400 meters high above sea level. It offers a spectacular view of the Nho Que River and the Tu San Canyon, which is the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. The pass is also a UNESCO Global Geopark, with its unique rock formations and cultural heritage of the ethnic communities living in the area. Ma Pi Leng Pass is a great place for adventure lovers and nature lovers who want to explore the beauty and diversity of Ha Giang province. Going along the pass, we will stop at some checkpoint which has the best view. We will stop and rest for about 30 - 45 minutes.
Nho Que River
Nho Que River is a river of Vietnam and China that flows through Ha Giang Province. The river offers a spectacular view of the Tu San Canyon, which is the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia, and the Ma Pi Leng Pass, which is one of the most famous and dangerous passes in Vietnam. The river is also a popular destination for adventure lovers and nature lovers who want to enjoy the beauty and diversity of Ha Giang province. We will take a boat trip along the river to admire the scenery. It will take about 2 hours (go down the river and go up to the mountain).
Meo Vac
After a long morning, we will go to Meo Vac Town to have lunch and then go on another road to go back to Ha Giang city. Lunch includes rice, meat and vegetables. If you are vegetarian, please tell us before so we can prepare.
Mau Due road to Ha Giang is a scenic route. It is part of the Ha Giang loop, a popular motorbike trip that takes you through some of the most impressive landscapes in the northern region. Along the way, you will see authentic and non-touristic villages, rice fields, and mountains. Mau Due road is also known for its challenging terrain, as it is very rugged and bumpy. It requires good driving skills and a reliable motorbike to navigate. Some parts of the road are not paved and can be slippery or muddy, especially during the rainy season. However, if you are up for an adventure, this road will reward you with stunning views and unforgettable experiences.
Du Gia
Du Gia village is a beautiful and peaceful place in Ha Giang province, located in the middle of Du Gia national park. It is not as popular as other destinations in Ha Giang, such as Dong Van, Meo Vac, or Lung Cu, but it has its own charm and attractions. Du Gia village is home to 14 villages and 9 different ethnic minority groups, such as the Tay, the Hmong, and the Lo Lo. They have their own unique traditions, costumes, and languages. You can visit the Du Gia waterfall, which is only 5 km from the main town. It is a refreshing and scenic spot where you can swim, jump off rocks, or just enjoy the view. You will see stunning landscapes of mountains, rice fields, and traditional wooden houses.

Lung Tam weaving village is a place where you can witness the traditional Hmong linen weaving process, which has been passed down for generations. Lung Tam village is located at the foot of a high mountain in Lung Tam commune, Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province. It is home to about 130 Hmong households, who cultivate hemp and make various products from linen, such as clothes, bags, scarves, and blankets. The Hmong linen weaving process is very intricate and laborious, involving 41 steps from planting hemp to dyeing and embroidering the fabric. The Hmong people use natural materials and by-hand techniques to create their unique and colorful patterns, which reflect their culture and identity.

5.00Had a great experience with Dô and Chánh as our tour guides. They prioritized safety and took their time exploring and explained all the sights. I highly recommend Odyssey if you’re looking for a more relaxed, quiet and mature vibe of doing the Ha Giang loop.

5.003 day 2 night tour in Ha Giang First of all, very stunning views. That’s the highlight of the tour. I highly recommend Nhat as a easy rider, he is experienced and safe even tho I don’t have the knee or elbow guard like some of the other groups, I felt very safe Most the the guides do not speak much English but they try their best to communicate with you. Like using simple English like “ready”, “okay”, “video”, “photo” to prompt us on the look outs We have multiple coffee stops (1 stop every 15-25mins), some roads can be bumpy but manageable with the rest stops. I saw there are other groups with very big passenger, so if you are concerned if the 110cc bike can accommodate big passenger, yes they can take up to passenger up to 150kg If you don’t like party or noisy group, I would recommend Odyessy Ha Giang loop tour. Food wise is very simple Vietnamese food; coffee stops I would recommend sugar cane than coffee cos the coffee is not authentic Vietnam coffee and mostly diluted with milk. Overall I had a pleasant experience with the group

5.00This was my favorite part of Vietnam! I joined the 3 day 2 night tour and had a blast!! I don’t know where to start. Our tour guide Tom was excellent! He answered all of our questions and made it easy to understand what we were doing each day and also excited for it too! He had amazing energy and was filled with so many smiles and jokes for everyone. One of the resorts we stayed in was gorgeous! The food was amazing and we got to each and drink great food too. I recommend the banana pancakes or beef pho noodles for breakfast. All the drivers were super kind and knowledgeable about the area. I felt we got a truly local culture experience from all eating every meal at the same time to learning how giving kids money who aren’t at school discourages them from going to school. The guides were super sweet and fun as well. One got a water-gun and battled those who wanted to participate. Now this trip wouldn’t have been what it was without my driver Sính Xe Cty. He was the sweetest person I ever met. Every stop he helped me put on and take off my helmet and we would give each other high fives before each ride. He bonded with the locals and I felt super safe behind him. He’d help me get great videos of my friends and smiled when it was our turn for a picture on the bike! I was able to sit in the back hands free for a lot of the time even though i was often holding a camera lol. I couldn’t recommend him, Tom or any of the other drivers on our trip more. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

5.00I spent two weeks researching different tour companies because there are so many on offer and I wanted to avoid the big party hostel tours. I am so so happy I chose Odyssey!! Firstly the hostel itself is very nice and I would recommend staying the night before as it makes the trip that much easier and the private rooms were excellent. My easy driver for the trip Chau Hanh was an absolute pro, extremely friendly and also an incredibly safe driver. Our tour guide Tom was amazing and went above and beyond for us during the entire three days. Every homestay we stayed in was high quality and the food was top notch at every point. I would 100% recommend this tour, best organized tour I've ever experienced!!

5.00We did the Ha Giang Loop with Odyssey Tours and had a brilliant experience overall. Everything was really well organised from start to finish. The hostel was clean, the staff were lovely, and the food was consistently good. We booked private rooms each night, which was definitely worth the small extra cost for a bit more comfort after long days on the road. The group size was ideal (max 12 people), and as three Irish people in our 30s, we were glad to be with a similar crowd – it made the whole thing really easygoing and social without feeling like a party tour. I rode with Tom, who was also the group leader, and he was genuinely one of the nicest guys we met in Vietnam. He ran everything really well. I felt completely safe on the bike the whole trip. All the drivers were great fun as well. The bikes were in good condition, everything ran smoothly, and there were plenty of breaks so we never felt too uncomfortable during the longer stretches. The accommodation throughout was really solid, and the food was consistently good at every stop. The scenery speaks for itself – easily some of the best we’ve ever seen. Couldn’t really fault anything. If you’re thinking about doing the loop, we’d definitely recommend going with Odyssey.

5.00We just finished a 3-day, 2-night Ha Giang Loop tour with Odyssey, and it was honestly one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. We were three friends in our early 30s (a couple + a friend), and our main priorities were a small group, no party vibes, and private rooms rather than hostels. Odyssey ticked every box perfectly. From the very start, everything was seamless. The accommodation in Ha Giang before the tour was fantastic—great facilities, a beautiful swimming pool, a pool table, and a really comfortable private room. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for the whole trip. On the first morning, our guide Tom introduced us to the team, and we immediately felt we were in good hands. The drivers were all professional, safe, and attentive throughout the journey. My driver Cháu Ian was especially thoughtful—always checking I was comfortable, had enough water, and was enjoying the ride. The itinerary itself was perfectly paced. We never felt rushed or overly tired—there was a great balance between riding, sightseeing, and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the regular stops for coffee and rest at local spots were a highlight in themselves. We also loved the activities along the way—swimming in waterfalls, enjoying incredible local Vietnamese food, and staying in beautiful homestays. The first night was at a stunning eco-retreat, and the second was just as lovely. Both had very comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere, which made a huge difference after a day on the road. What really made the experience stand out was the group size and vibe. It was a small group (around 10–12 people), and everyone was there for the experience rather than partying, which is exactly what we were looking for. Safety was clearly a top priority throughout, there was no risky driving at any point, and we always felt secure. The price was also well worth it. While I can’t remember the exact cost, it was in line with other tour companies, and honestly, worth every single penny for the experience we had. I honestly couldn’t recommend Odyssey more. If you’re looking for a well-organised, scenic, comfortable, and authentic Ha Giang Loop experience without the party scene, this is the company to go with. All the thanks from a very happy Irish customer!

5.00Odyssey provided the best tour ever! Everything ran so smoothly, we had plenty of much needed breaks on the road each day, and the excursions were amazing. The food at every meal was delicious, nutritious, and had lots of variety. Safety was at the top of Odyssey’s priorities. I felt safe at all times and also felt that my driver and every other driver bended over backwards to make sure we were all safe and cared for. My driver Chung was so sweet, caring, and was an excellent, safe driver. I fully trusted him. Highly recommend the Ha Giang Loop with Odyssey!
