What To Expect

Join us on an all-inclusive tour of the senses as we travel through the Adelaide Hills and experience all that our beautiful region has to offer. During our 5-hour tour, we visit four premium locations and sample their world-famous produce. Our meeting point is The Lane Vineyard, where we hop on our e-bikes and cruise through the region’s stunning valleys. Our experienced, local guides will guide you to Beerenberg where we take part in picking the freshest and the sweetest strawberries (seasonal). We then ride through the historic German town, Hahndorf and take in its picturesque main street, riding to our next stop – Udder Delights. Here, we sample world-famous local produce, including cheeses, fresh breads, and their mouth-watering quince paste. After this, we’re back on our e-bikes and take a ride to the region’s premium wineries. Shaw and Smith is our first stop where we are treated to a wine flight of five of their most premium wines - and a rest to take in the stunning views. The Lane Vineyard is our final stop where we will retire our bikes, experience their ‘Taste the Lane’ wine selection, and take in the breath-taking views that this estate has to offer.

We had such a fantastic day on this tour and couldn’t recommend it more. Dan was an amazing guide, full of knowledge about the Adelaide Hills, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. It was the perfect way to see the area. We would also suggest staying on for lunch at The Lane winery after the tour, it’s the perfect finish to a great day!

We had an amazing and memorable e-bike tour with Dan! We tasted fantastic wine, cheese and bread and picked (and ate) the best ever strawberries. Easy pick-up in Adelaide and Dan is very professional and friendly - the perfect host on wheels. He was very attentive, and we felt safe at all times. The bikes were comfortable and easy to manage. We highly recommend Dan's Hahndorf Food and Wine E-bike tour.

This tour was great and so was our guide Matt. We we able to take in the beautiful scenery in a that would not have been possible by car. We loved the stops at the local merchants. Matt provided so much interesting information and he is just fun to be around (and patient). Thanks again Matt!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Hanhdorf Food & Wine tour with Dan as our guide. He was fantastic. A local & very knowledgeable of the Adelaide Hills region with a great sense of humour as well!! We visited Beerbenberg Farm for the sweetest strawberries on the planet!! On to Shaw+Smith Winery for some wine tasting, rode through the many vineyards which provided a spectacular backdrop for the tour & the charming, historic German town of Hahndorf to Udder Delights for our cheese platter & freshly baked ciabatta rolls (Yum!!!) brunch then finished off with more cheese & wine tasting at The Lane Vineyard. Navigating the paths & roads both sealed & unsealed was made simple riding on e-bikes which makes this tour suitable & fun for people of all fitness levels. A superb tour! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Adelaide or Adelaide Hills.

Dan a true local, and Janet his side kick, were both extremely professional and friendly during our awesome bike tour. Being first time on an e-bike, Dan and Janet were always on hand to ensure we had a memorable experience. It is pretty special cycling around Hahndorf and the surrounding wineries, better than driving. The all inclusive tasting was very generous & delicious. Highly recommend Bike About .. we will surely book again next time we are in town!

Dan and his team provided an outstanding experience! We felt very supported and well taken care of. It was lovely to not have to worry about anything and just enjoy the views and lovely spots we were taken to. As first time e-bike riders, my friend and I also felt very well instructed and like we were in good hands! Highly recommend!

Excellent tour couldn’t recommend highly enough. Great mix of food and wine with the added benefit of taking in the fabulous countryside. We’ve been on wine tours in Italy, Spain and Portugal but this was by far the best. Daniel is a great guide and has all the local knowledge. Plus the staff in each of the spots were great. A must do if your in the Hahndorf / Adelaide area.
