Meet your friendly tour guide at Piazzale Montelungo Bus Terminal. Piazzale Montelungo is located 5-10 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station. Grab a seat on the comfortable coach bus, and prepare to depart! During your journey to the Chianti wine region, your guide will dive into fascinating facts and information regarding the history of wine production and Gallo Nero (Black rooster). We left with Cecily who accompanied us throughout the tour, informing us about points of interest and making sure we were all at every meeting point. The first winery we visited was the Teruzzi estate, where they showed us the cellar and presented the wines. We then went up for the tasting, where they served us bread, cheese and salami. We started with white wine and ended with red. The girl who introduced us to the wines was very engaging and kind. We then went to the estate of "Poggio ai laghi", where we had the second tasting, presented by the so-called "Wine estein", the genius of wines, which made the tasting fun and engaging, offering more wine to those who guessed the ingredients. Overall it was a pleasant and positive experience, with a fun atmosphere, made special by our escort, and the staff of the two estates.

Can and Forese were both wonderful. Great trip to 2 wineries. One international and one more local. The local winery had a great tour guide who explained how to taste the wine properly, the process of wine making, and the differences between the Chianti wines.

Jon and Forense were wonderful hosts and the wineries we went to were wonderful! The option to buy an extra glass of wine while at the wineries was also very nice since the tasting portions were a little smaller

It was a very pleasant experience tasting the Chianti classic wines from 2 different wineries, where we could learn a lot about how special the Chianti is. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Florence and have half a day available for this ride.
