A fantastic experience to learn about the sobering history of world powers and their impact to the Korean peninsular! Eddie, with his personal history at the DMZ, added context to the history and insights to the daily lives of the Koreans on both sides of the Demarcation line. It was a wonderful and memorable visit!

Glad I opted for the half day because it was more than enough time to see everything of note. SJ had a lot of good info and was a great guide; he’s seen real action and his stories are pretty amazing. But you’ll have to ask him separately, he doesn’t go into it as part of the tour. Overall it was a well organized tour. Would definitely recommend. A few things to note: sometimes it can be a bit hard to understand everything, so just keep that in mind if you tend to have trouble interpreting accents. Also note that the 3rd Tunnel portion can be a bit of a workout on the climb back up if you’re in poor shape. There is plenty of time if you want to do it, but bring water with you. The tunnel is also very low and can get uncomfortable if you get easily claustrophobic. No one warns you about this going into it. The salesy stop at the end was actually fine. The soy bean ice cream was yummy and really does taste like nut butter.
