We had a fantastic time with our guide Jida. She is a Chiang Mai local and has so much knowledge of the history and all current topics about the area. Firstly we had a peaceful hour boat trip up the Ping River then stopped at a small herb farm for cool drinks and ice cream. Our lovely driver was waiting and we continued up the hill to Wat Doi Suthep. We learnt about some history of Buddhism and current practices. After walking through the temple we looked at the stunning view of Chiang Mai below. Returned to the luxury car after eating some banana waffles! Highly Recommend this tour!

We were picked up at 0830 by Khun Jida and our driver Khun Tong. Jida was very knowledgeable and fun and she took us on a lovely old slow boat up the river with interesting things to see. Lovely older houses and people fishing. The boat took us to a herb garden where we had some nice cold drink and ice cream. The van driver was waiting for and took us up the hill to Doi Suthep where Jida was very informative about buddhist practices and the history. We had a great view over Chiand Mai, walked back down the naga steps and taken back to our hotel. We had a lovely half day out.

The tour took us on a relaxing and peaceful trip along the Mae Ping river. The boat stopped at a farmers house where we got a cold herbal tea and some lovely ice cream. Our trip continued up the mountains to Doi Suthep temple. From where we had amazing views of Chiang Mai down below in the valley. Our guide, Gobi gave us lots of information about the temple, the buddha statues and general background. Gobi is very knowledgeable and as we were returning visitors he asked us what we remembered from previous visits. He could fill in a lot of blanks. Gobi is a bundle of energy and knowledge. He seems to have unlimited energy to explain, ask questions, tell stories, make jokes… we really had a great time. The driver mr. Boo was careful and very attentive: drinking water, cold towels, opening and closing doors. A good driver too. Both Gobi and Boo get along very well too.
