Our sanctuary is the local sanctuary in Samui and everyone is welcome to visit us to observe elephants roaming free by themselves in the jungle. Learn the history about the story of the elephants and the important part how to take care elephants with us together. This program was run by the experience instructor guide who have the impression and passionate to take care Asian elephants. We invite to be a part for take care elephants with us together.

What To Expect
Begin with pick up from the hotel and drive to our sanctuary home. We also provide for everyone to observe elephants in the natural surroundings in the jungle which roam free to have food for eating, learn about the history of elephants from the local guide, and observe elephants play in the mud to cool down by themselves. Moreover, we provide visitors with the opportunity to observe elephants enjoy taking bath in the pool and our mahouts carefully clean them by splashing water by using hose, ensuing their comfort and well-being. Finally, have some the vegetarian set of food after the program and watch surprise video together.

5.00A fantastic experience for people who really care about elephants! Incredibly much interesting information about the elephants, what they did before they came to Samui and how they are now. It was fun to be able to cook for the elephants that we were given to feed them, then to go and observe them in the jungle afterwards. Our guide told us a lot about each elephant we saw and about their special personalities! Elefanthjemmet also works well with the surrounding area, which is great! Absolutely worth a visit!

5.00What a great afternoon. It was brilliant seeing such beautiful elephants being treated so well and being allow to wander and not expected to work. All of the elephants have been rescued from circuses, logging farms or people carrying. They are so well cared for at this elephant home. We learned so much about elephants from the staff who are passionate in their cause to save these beautiful animals.

5.00Prompt hotel pick up in a jeep, joined by 8 others. Superb time, hosted by people that genuinely care for the ill treated elephants. Nice, light hearted and fun intro then involved in making specialist food for them. Opportunity to feed by hand but their welfare always the priority. A walk to see the elephants in the area they can walk freely in, plenty of photo opportunities. Nice light lunch, followed by a chance to help hose refresh them. Staff excellent, water and tea coffee supplied. Fully recommend.

5.00A wonderful experience - the best elephant rescue camp by far. We’ve visited many elephant camps and rescues across Thailand, and this one truly stands out. Maria and Lucky are absolutely adorable, and we learned so much during our visit. Highly recommended and definitely worth visiting if you come to Koh Samui. The staffs are amazing, knowledgeable, and provide such warm hospitality.

5.003 hours of eye-opening experience. Very passionate and knowledgeable guides. It is obvious that the Elephants are well taken care of here, it is an ethical establishment. Everyone who visits Samui should definitely pay a visit.

5.00This tour was perfect in every way. Firstly, they were very accommodating and kindly accommodated us changing our booking due to food poisoning. On the day itself the experience was insane - we made the elephants food, learned about their back stories, fed them, saw them out in 14 acres of land where they’re free to wonder and then helped hose them down. It was beautiful seeing these magnificent animals rescued and respect and admired how much the sanctuary deeply cared for the elephants. We could only touch them when feeding them and they made it very clear you do not play with their food or tease the elephants. They also have 24hr care for the elephants and only bring the elephants for feeding if they’re in the mood that day - it’s all clearly with the welfare of the elephants in mind and we loved that.

5.00We visited Ko Samui on a cruise and we booked this tour last minute. It was such a great experience and one of our favorite memories from Thailand. There are a number of Elephant Rescue programs in Thailand which is commendable. It was educational and heart warming. You have the opportunity to make elephant appetizers, feed the elephants, walk with them in the fields, practice a little sling shot, bathe the elephants and have lunch. The team at Samui Elephant Home is gracious, kind and very loving to their nine elephants. It's a wholesome, informative experience in Thailand. It was definitely a highlight on our tour of Southeast Asia.
