Great experience, up and close to the Elephants but in a humane environment, elephants get to do what they want on their terms.

What an absolutely amazing experience! The staff here clearly care and respect the elephants so much, everything they do is for their wellbeing. It was great making the food for the elephants and then getting to feed them, and a privilege to walk amongst them in the wild. Truly special experience and would highly recommend.

At Samui Elephant Sanctuary, elephants that once worked hard in logging or tourism, (some for 40 years) are given a second chance at life. Rescued from difficult pasts, they now live peacefully on forested land where they are free to roam, socialise, and simply be elephants again. Samui Elephant Sanctuary Visitors don’t ride or control them—instead, they gently connect by feeding them, walking alongside them, and quietly observing as the elephants eat, play in the mud, and swim. The sanctuary’s purpose is simple but powerful: to protect these animals, give them dignity and freedom, and show people a more ethical way to experience elephants—one based on care, respect, and letting them live naturally. This was the highlight of our week and a day we will never forget 🐘❤️ Would highly recommend everyone visit this amazing sanctuary and see the wonderful work the dedicated staff have accomplished.

We had a fabulous date getting up close and understanding the elephants needs and finding out their history. The staff have so much love for their animals and care deeply about their future

This 4-hour stay with the elephants was an experience. You will learn about each elephant's fate and why they are on the farm during a lecture. Afterwards, prepare small snacks for the elephants and feed them. Each animal has its own handler and is protected. After a 15-minute walk you will come to their pasture area and can watch them eating directly without chains. Great photos can be taken. I definitely recommend this trip.

This is a small and wonderful sanctuary where the elephants are well looked after. The staff are very kind and attentive, knowing lots about each elephant they care for. Whilst at the sanctuary you get a chance to watch the elephants bathe and have an opportunity at showering them. Additionally you get to make their food and then feed one of the elephants. On top you do get to see them in their jungle area, but it can get very hot as there is little to no shade available. Feeding the elephants though ended up being quite short lasting 20 minutes.Lunch is provided as part of the tour however it was served lukewarm and in a small portion size, consisting of rice and sandwiches. For the price you pay to go to the sanctuary the tour felt slightly underwhelming only lasting around 2 hours for 3,000 baht per person, (approx. £70). At the end of your tour you get 20 minutes to look around a gift shop and then watch a 10 minute video of you and your group during the tour. In conclusion, the tour felt slightly underwhelming for the price paid but we did have a decent time.

An incredible and emotional experience. Starting with informative guides who confirmed the history of each elephant and how they came to be in the care home. Explaining dietary requirements and being shown how the make the food with Banana, Tamarind, Pumpkin, Protein Powder, and Grass. The Elephants are cared for and respected. No bathing with them or riding on them which is amazing to see. The elephants come and feed with you on their terms. You then get to see them in their own jungle. Each elephant has their own qualified keeper and you can see that they have grown to trust one and other. Absolutely loved the whole experience and can’t recommend it highly enough.
