Al-Balad

Head to Al-Balad to explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town with its coral-stone houses, traditional souks, and historic mosques. The tour begins at Bab Jadeed, one of the Old Town’s historic gateways, then continues to the Jeddah Art Academy, a creative hub linking the city’s heritage with its modern art scene. As you walk through the narrow lanes, you will pass Al Falah School, one of Saudi Arabia’s oldest schools, before exploring Souq Al Bado, a traditional market showcasing authentic Jeddawi heritage. The experience includes visits to Nassif House, a 19th-century architectural landmark that hosted King Abdulaziz, and the Matbouli Museum, a restored coral-stone home illustrating historic family life in Jeddah. The tour concludes at Al Shafi’i Mosque, one of the city’s oldest and most significant mosques.
